I was originally going to wait until all of the hostile mobs were re-skinned, but I will be gone on vacation for a week and a half, away from a computer, so I figured half of an update is better than none!
I would suggest you make the oak logs a tad more oaky. It currently looks to me as a strange shaded strand of honey.
I guess it resembles your old name!
Thank you for the criticism! While oak logs aren't going to get an update in the next version, I can assure you that many hostile mobs are getting a... face-lift.
Here's a sneak peak at one of the many randomized zombies that you may have the misfortune of meeting!
Being the gentleman that I am, I was sure to leave this poor fellow's modesty intact.
I can assure you all that the next update will have lots of mc-patcher mod compatibility (random mobs, more ctm, betterglass, etc...).
But don't fret! While Direcraft won't be nearly as awesome without the patcher, it will work without having to run the patcher without any issues!
I like everything about this pack except the mobs.. but this latest zombie looks really good. More like this and the pack is absolutely golden
Thank you so much for the feedback!
I understand your dislike for the mobs, as I too felt the same way. The issue was the resolution. There are some amazing artists out there who can make great looking low-res mobs, and I have nothing but amazing respect for those people. However, I decided to take a page out of Wayuki's book and double-up the resolution on my mobs. While my mobs could probably never hold a candle to hers, I am definitely glad that I took the plunge into higher resolution work.
I'm aiming to get my first wave of zombies out by Hallowe'en. I already have 5 alternates, and havent even began texture work on their attire.
And here are some teaser progress screenshots:
Firstly, I updated the title screen to be less depressing!
Secondly; An example Zombie! It's a lot less flat then it's previous 3 colour brother. Clothes sold separately:
Anyone have any suggestions for what different zombie types Direcraft should have?
i.e. Bikini, Miner, Cowboy, Mummy, etc...
Thanks! That was one of the first mobs that I had re-skinned, so I'm glad that you like it! I'm planning on re-doing him, though he's still going to be a skeletal dragon-lich, just more menacing and detailed!
Thanks a lot, it's always great to see that people do in fact like my texture-pack! With Hallowe'en just around the corner, I've re-doubled my efforts to get the next update (Mobs, Items, Gui, etc...) ready in time!

I re-skinned several of the hostile mobs (Including the Enderdragon!), began armour, and made a lot of the GUI prettier!
