My problem is, when you are just playing regular mine craft things can look a little awkward. Also, can't be used on most servers without just making things look... wrong. I'm sure it could be used EXTREMELY well in a map, but i'm gonna have to pass on downloading. Diamond pants to you!
Yeah, it's a themed pack and I've yet to see one that won't make the regular world of a regular server look like that. I decided to fully embrace it, though. Thanks, anyway.
When you kill a skeleton (Vannix Troopers), they would drop some kind of chip (bone), which you could implant on the creature (wolf) for it to obey you. On the production of this chip, there is a substance that is used on it, to accelerate the cells process, that way, you could remove this substance from the chip (bone meal) to accelerate the growing process of the plants.

Hmm...that's a good idea, and probably one I'll use, but at this point I'm more concerned of thinking of what the wolf itself should be.

Make the wolf some sort of (companion) robot. You could even take the tail (and maybe ears) off of it to make it seem more cold and robotic. Make the microchip/circuit board appear on the tamed wolf texture, along with more lights on, and maybe a few switches (like AI changes) appear as well.
Make the aggressive version of the wolf like the wild version, only weaponized, like with spikes, knives, or barrels compartments opened up and said weaponry pushed forwards, and maybe a tazer (electrical arc) on the mouth.
Also, I responded to the comment on my thread that you left on my thread after you posted the comment, answering the question relating to my download link

Yeah I kinda wanted to do a robot (by that I mean I really do) but theres the whole problem of using meat on two wolves and it makes a baby. Oh well, it didn't make sense on the original minecraft.
And thanks for the comment. I'm glad I remember posting it, or I would have had no idea what your talking about.
Okay, an update soon I promise. I've been struggling with the look for the robot/wolf, but I think I got a basic idea now. After this update gets rolled out, the next one's should arrive quicker since I already have ideas for the villagers, iron golem and all the armor sets. Get ready for some cool stuff everyone.
You've all waited long enough. Sorry for the delay. I hope you like the new additions!
This is the Passive Mobs update part 1 which includes the wolf, cow and pig. Next update will be part 2, which will contain the villagers, iron golem, ocelot and cats.
Ok so my first idea for villagers was to make them scavengers, doctors, just people trying to survive on the planet that will trade credits (emeralds) for supplies. My second idea was to make villagers into sort of elusive alien monks who dedicate their life to studying relics on this planet. It makes sense that they trade stuff for relics and scriptures (emeralds) but not so much that they trade those things for supplies. You don't care about some old alien pots and they don't want to give it away. Looks like I'm going with number 1.
Nobody has said anything about v2.0 yet. How did you like the mobs?
Oops...VoidCraft is already taken. I need to add thinking of a new name to the list.
As of 7/14/2012 the texture pack has been renamed Distant Anomaly.
This alone gives you credit in my book, I can't even count the number of people who use the first name that comes to them regardless of how good it is or if it has been used before.

Took a little break from the mobs. I'm working on smooth stone right now, so you might see a small update with smooth stone + all the ores soon. Then I will probably go and do the villagers and whatnot like planned.
Here's a list of other stuff I have planned. This is in no particular order and I may change my mind later. This is just to let you know what's on my mind, and also to have a reference for myself to keep me on track:
-Nether Mobs - Probably after the villagers and cats.
-Food Update - Again, probably after Nether Mobs but no promises. This would contain all of the food. I'll be finished with all the mobs soon and so have the basis for all of it.
-Connected Textures support - This is one I can't wait to do. Connected Textures will work very well for my texture pack, trust me. It's all optional of course so if this isn't your thing don't worry
-Randomobs support - I figure after I finish nether mobs I'll be burnt out on texturing mobs for a while. This is most likely a gradual thing and will slip in over the course of the rest of the updates.
-Armor - Not quite sure when I'll do this but it's soon. I have a clear idea in my head of what to make the armor. Because of that I should finish pretty quickly after I start.
-Netherrack - I've come to the decision I want this to be a moon dust but blue in color. (See Palaven in Mass Effect). I think this will help differentiate the nether quite a bit. I'll also change the sky color for the nether.
-Potions/Brewing - There are so many ingredients and such that this will probably be its own update. I was thinking a sort of chemistry type thing, but I guess having stuff like spider eyes in it doesn't make much sense. More thoughts on this later.
-Language Pack - I've actually got it working and if I update it could feasibly have it ready for you guys. Tell me if you want it sooner rather than later.
-Sounds - I could also change the sounds. I can throw that in with the language pack download. It should help in making it feel different. There's lots of cool sounds on freesound I could use. I think it needs some music though, any talented people willing to donate?
-GUI
Also things to consider:
-The reason I haven't done sheep is because I'm still not certain on wool. Sadly I may have to forego my initial plan of having wool be blocks like pipes, screens and whatever else I need them to be. It will surely take the variety out of my blocks. I hope using Connected Textures I can get some of that back. Also, screens can be easily done using paintings. Having it be extra stuff is just too conflicting. For example it wouldn't make sense when you have to make a bed. Also, my idea of having dyes be a schematic doesn't work out when things like cocoa beans have more than one use. I also have a few blocks like Lapiz Lazuli blocks which haven't been textured, so I should have room for the most important of the wool. I was on the fence about this, but after typing it I'm pretty confident with my decision.
-Grass? Trees? These are so integral to the feel of my texture pack I'm almost scared to do them. I keep going back and forth between having an alien grass that is purple or some exotic color and having it an earth-like planet with green grass. I've found having it too alien makes it ugly and you can't really connect with it. I'm not sure about this, so if you have advice let me know.

I really like the work you have done on the turtle-pig, the oinks just fit perfectly together with the other sounds that pigs in minecraft do.
The cow as Balduran said could be different. It just does not quite fit in in my opinion. Maybe make it more like some kind of buffalo, a lot hairier and with horns... but keep the amount of eyes, I liked that
My suggestion on that would be making it some sort of mossy kind of grass, wild, untouched, lost in time.
I wanted to use the adfly link, but it wasn't working for me, sorry
Awesome pack though!
No problem, it's optional for a reason. It worked for me though...could you tell me exactly what was wrong with it so I can fix it for other people? Thanks
You could make the animals biological hybrids so they have Bio-Tech allowing for ease of explaination of how you get a targeting array from a chicken as well as food hope this is helpful i may also post some name ideas once i think up some but i really like what you are doing and hope you finish some time soon

Noooo! Don't come up with ideas for that, I just accepted that it's impossible!
Thanks. I hope I finish soon too, and name's would be great.
I will say now this probly wont be the last you hear from me because i will be giving constructive critism as well as cudos and ideas so be ready. So critism first so you can be praised after to make up for it but the wood doesn't work for me at all having normal be that dark unless you make each really different at which point they wont really match or work together as they do vinilla . On another note i want to say your redstone is just ... the BEST i've seen anyone do so cudos for that and to equal this out i'll add a idea maybe make the water a orange colour IF possible i really haven't done any texture pack stuff so i dunno if you can but orange hasn't really been done before and i think it would look really nice and different cool etc... that is all ... for now

Cool, I'm always open to constructive criticism.
I think you'll be happy to know the wood is just a placeholder. That's why it doesn't have noise and it's the only wood that is textured. I made it so that I could take a picture of the village and my friends have some idea of what it looks like. I chose dark grey because I needed it to be different, I had too many shades of light gray already. I decided tonight that with Connected Textures I'll be able to make Stone, Cobble, Iron and Gold look cool for like hallways sections, but I needed one to be good for flooring or possibly roofs. That's what wood will be. I'm not sure what color that will turn out to be. Each wood will be different in color and everything so yeah they probably won't fit together too well, but it will be worth it because I'll make flooring to match each block.
And about the redstone:
Thanks. It was one of the first things I did and it was a chore to get working right but I think it really paid off.
Anyway, feel free to drop in constructive criticism at any time, any of you. I might not always take your suggestion per say, but it will help me.
Started a survival game on my texture pack, decided to texture the first thing I came across (that wasn't grass or trees :P). I made a home in a cave, got tons of iron and coal and smelted that iron. Then my hunger bar started getting low, so I murdered a chicken. Out pops the vanilla raw chicken.
