The new gui looks great just that perhaps the beacon could be changed in future? because it clashes with my iron pyramid right now....guess i better make it diamond
Then if I make it Iron, it will clash with diamond pyramids. It makes more sense as Maker tech anyway.

Here's what we got so far for the mobs, and also my thoughts for some of them:
Blaze - Terran Defense Drones (Renegade?)
Spider - Cyborg/Insectoid Drone
Cave Spider - Offspring/Offshoot Species of Above
Ghast - ?
Magma Cube - ?
Slime - Wierd Gelatanous Plasma Thing
Witch - Mad Scientist
Wither Skeleton - SpecOps Vannix
Iron Golem - Villager Defense Bots, either built by them or by the Terrans
Snow Golem - ?
Ender Dragon - Void Monsters
Wither - ?
Ocelot - ? Cat version ?
Sheep - Possibly Still Sheep, or a similar animal native to Conquest?
Squid - Deep Sea Mining/Exploration Drone, or Wierd creature
Mooshroom - ?
Bat - I'll figure out something wierd for this one
Chicken - Now that the arrows are javelins, what should the chicken be considering its feather? Also used in the writable book.
Villager - Monks who study Maker tech, and trade Emeralds (data matrices) for supplies and vice versa
I would say to make the Ghast some sort of jellyfish-like alien native to the moon, and Magmacubes might be some kind of land-bound offspring of them. (Or maybe, based on their properties to split into more of themselves, something more like a giant worm creature?)
Withers I would say to make into Vannix un-manned Drones of some sort.
Assuming that Mushroom briomes will be the most natural areas of the planet, Mooshrooms might be rather cow-like native creatures.
Snow Golems could be now-obsolete construction beings which originally spread the facade of life around the planet. (Probably making them bio-mechanical)
I would kinda like to see what you could do with a living squid creature of some sort. But I don't really know what.
Ocelots could be either a living creature, or a robot of some sort meant to maintain the spread of nature around the planet, and make sure it doesn't grow out of control. (Explaining their presence in jungle biomes, and why Creepers fear them)
You may have heard the upcoming redstone update will add HD texture support and custom animations support. This is good news, I'm not denying it. However it is going to break several people's texture packs. Will people still go and download McPatcher/Optifine just for the few extra features like Custom Colors, Connected Textures, Better Glass/Grass, etc?
Before when texturing, we texture pack artists simply took it by faith that we could add support for these things, because we knew everyone would have to download Mcpatcher in order to get HD texture support anyway. If most people stop using mcpatcher and just stick with the basic vanilla hd texture support, it's going to require some drastic thought on my part. That means perhaps making redstone red again, and thinking of a way around the biome shading I was going to do for the Environmental Update.
So because of this, be wary about future updates. You may see some restructuring of the timeline and lore due to these changes. The release might have to be delayed until either Mojang adds support for these extra features, or I see the state of the texture pack community after this update.
Hopefully this doesn't change anything, and by the time I get to the future updates everything is figured out. You'll just have to bare with me in the coming months.
_______________
That being said, I am working on at least Connected Textures support. The biome shading etc, is something that drastically affects the lore of the pack and absolutely required for the pack. Its not something you would be able to go without. However CTM is different, its optional and cosmetic.
I'm taking steps to prepare for full CTM support. This includes going back and polishing previous textures. I went back to the cobblestone/commonite and removed the noise. Then I applied a subtle brushed metal texture. The result is the texture having a very metallic feeling to it. I'll be doing similar changes to all of the blocks.
I'm not sure when you'll see the update for this, but its not likely you will see it next friday with the new mobs update.
Ghasts-helium based floating creatures? like a natural zepplin or dirigible? maybe sorta like a overlord?
Cats-something that would a ppear as an apex predator, because they scare/chase away creeper....
Magma cube-plasma cube? since lava is green plasma?
Wither-maybe vannix has soul binding technology? that allows them to stay alive in a energy form store in their helmet? then when 3 are put together on a proper frame, they would merge together to form a tri-headed vannix brute?
EDIT: Everytime I try to download it it wont give me one folder, it gives me a folder for every single texture, I also cant download it, it just shows them, like: gold_ingot.png or coblestone.png

Hit File > Download when you get to the google drive directory.
I have been hunting for a sci fi texture pack for several days now and I was in shock that the first one I found looked amazing. Thank you.
Perhaps one day this texture pack will be 64x and has mod compatible versions, but I can only wish.
Texture Pack Review:
I love the space jaffas joke and the actual space jaffas.
Before I really get into things I'd also like to mension that as I played, I noticed a lot of things incomplete, like gravel and emerald ore.
Anyways, I really like most of the textures. Here's a list of my favorites. The Bow, amazing, never change it except the projectiles, The Gold Armor Set & Tool Set, (Not the weapon) best tools and armor imo, Leather Armor, good as is, Cookie, fantastic, Rails, awesome, Minecarts, awesome.
Most of the other materials are great as well, but I wouldn't say I'd add them to favorites. Tho, I do like all the wood. Don't change those either.
Here's a list of the retextured items I don't like and why. Bedrock: From the version I downloaded, bedrock is green. I don't know if this was unintended or not, but I dislike it. I'd like to see bedrock changed to some sort of really strong alloy or something like obsidian looks. NetherBrick: I don't know why, but the nether looks fine without the green alien structures. It looks wierd on the moon. I'd like to see it changed to something like white. (I think the wither skeletons would look cool to be white SpecOps guys) Block of Emerald: It's just a pretty dot? I don't know why, but it feels so out of place. Ladder: It's red...doesn't make sense. Gray fits everything best so I'd stick with that. Iron Bars: It's yellow...I simply give you the same feedback as from the ladder, gray. Bottle of Enchanting: I can't tell what it is. If it's a reference, I didn't get it. I'd play it safe and either make it a transmitting device or another canister. Iron Sword: Imo, it doesn't look that great. I think the blade would look better if it looked something like this...
I'm currently in school to become a game designer, artist, programmer. I'm currently working on my own map. But, I couldn't help give some ideas for...everything that isn't done.
Lapis: Just another ore. Do your thing. Stone Bricks: I'd like to see the cracked bricks to be moved to mossy. I'd instead like to see cracked bricks looks like laser fire, like in alll those sci fi movies. A big hole in the middle with orange scorch marks and circuitry bleeding out. I'd like to see chiseled bricks look mossy brick, only replace the red parts with green or blue. Mycelium: Don't care, make it look like grass, only blue or something. Emerald Ore: Like Diamond, only a different symbol and cyan in color. End Stone: Make the end look like mars, since the nether looks like the moon. Leaves: Make leaves look like a diagonal grid of metal with empty spaces between the middle. Kind of like chain mail already does. Saplings: Think - Terraforming node. Fern: Right now looks like a tiny little tree the size of grass. Just make that look like grass too, maybe vary it up. Mushroom: You don't have to make those custom. Just make a brown and red alien-ish mushroom the way you'd do it. Vines: I'd suggest making vines like an alien form of ladder. It will be tinted green just like leaves so play around with them. Lilipad: Like the mushrooms, just make it in your style and alien-ish. Saddles: Make it a 32x saddle.
Icons for the minecarts and boat is still unfinished.
Carrot and stick is unfinished. End Portal: Alien portal with tech nodes inserted...idk. Ender Pearl: Teleportation device.
I'm getting to the point when I'm saying things that are completely obvious...sorry...
I'd like chain mail to look like THE best armor. The armors you have include officers, imperial soldiers, space marines, and mercenaries.
But, consider this for chain mail - Traditional gray or blue space marine, with a jetpack
Ghast: A round bomber starship...duh. Magma Cube: F.A.A. Fire Aspect Alpha Version 1.0 - Aka. Make it a fire robot alien thingy... Snow Golem: Similar to iron golem, but make the snow golem like a sniper. If you've played starcraft. Think of the terran ghost. Snowball, make that a bullet, duh. Wither: Too wierd to be made a robot. Make it alien. Make it like...THE ALIEN, from...alien...aliens... Ocelot: Cat Version? YES Sheep: Wool producing robot. Make it's under skin look like robotic circuitry that dispenses wool. Maybe just make it look like redstone on the skin under the wool and the skin that isn't under wool look like regular robot. Wool should look like...your wool. Mooshroom: Red version of your alien cow. Feather: The only thing that would fit is a data chip for launching javelins and editing tablets.
I love your texture pack and will be using it for a while. Hope my feedback is somewhat useful. Thanks for it and keep going.

Here's me, waiting for animated textures...
-Thanks for the compliments! It was hard work getting this pack to where it is.
-Before I get into responses, let me just say that even though it looks as good as it does, this is still a WIP. I haven't finished all the blocks, etc.
-Bow: I liked the old bow too, but it simply didn't fit and I feel it could be MUCH better than what it is. So, I am changing it, but I promise just as much thought if not more will go into it.
-Bedrock-Ah, bedrock! You see it isn't meant to be this way, it is only green because when taking screenshots I use it like a greenscreen to get blocks/mobs/etc without the background. It will certainly be changed, its only temporary how it is now.
-Nether Brick - We already have a white metal, plus its vital to the lore that I keep them as military blocks.
-Block of Emerald - This block is the victim of uncautious editing. I forgot to check my layers before exiting and closing one day, and a mask got saved over the top of an amazing looking block. I have been focusing on different things, so I haven't got around to redoing it.
-End Stone - And yet the Deserts on Conquest already look Mars-Like. Besides, The Void isn't really a planet, but a dimension inside of Hyperspace/Slipstream space.
-Leaves - I'd like to find a way to keep them leaves, but I will take this into consideration.
-Terraforming Node - If I am forced to make trees fully synthetic, this is the best suggestion I have got.
-Fern - Incomplete.
-They will still be fungus, but strange alien-ish fungus.
-Vines - I will either do this, or just make them vines depending on the direction the trees end up.
-Saddles - Coming this update.
-End portal - That's the idea.
-Ender pearl - They will be a Teleportation Matrix.
-Chain Mail Armor - I am considering it.
-Ghast - I already designed a strange alien creature.
-Snow Golem - I have, although due to the peaceful nature and lack of arms, its probably best to have these be something more peaceful.
-Ocelot - Yep.
-Sheep - Hmmmm. I will think about this one.
-Mooshroom - These will be the Vannix herding animal. So, a different species than the cow and more alien.
-Feather - Perfect!
Animated textures, CTM, and 64x support are all in the works, in that order. 64x support won't begin until I have completely finished this version, however.
Next, just a couple of updates on what I've been doing.
-I've started Randomobs textures for most of the old mobs and I've began tweaking the old texture using new methods I have learned.
-I settled on a scifi-samurai theme for the new Vannix, with plated armor and elegant architecture.
-Chicken is a survey probe for the Free Information Organization, the in-game authors of the codex. They survey the landscape and such, transmitting information back.
-(With that in mind, what should eggs be??)
-I started minor tweaks on the old tools. Lignium tools (wooden) now have the silvery-bluish tint that the furnaces have. Either lignium is naturally blue (I could make the inside of the log blue), or it is commonly painted that way. The real life explanation for this was to have some contrast between all the grey blocks and appliances.
-Wolf Leash = Paint. So when you change the color with dye, you change the paint color.
The eggs could be a product of the biological samples that the chickens take, which they compress into a sorta call-down thing, prompting the company to send additional probes where they 'eggs' are broken.

Interesting...so, like a beacon to attract more probes. Also it being a sample, it kinda makes sense that you use it in food.
EDIT: Alteran88, aka TheXpGamers on youtube, sent me in a video, which I added to the thread. Its a simple video, so if you've been following along you have seen it before, but hopefully it will help some newcomers out who don't want to sift through the thread. Thanks Alteran88!
EDIT2:
Introducing the new Ocelot!
The prowler is a predator from the same planet as the Gwana Turtle. They use their fearsome appearance to scare off predators like Creepers, and hunt small animals. However, humanoids are usually able to call their bluff, and they aren't above fleeing the scene.
Randomobs will be different color variations. The gwana turtle will have simpler green to blue to dark yellow variations, while the Prowler will have more exotic variations based on dinosaur markings.
Reverting back to the old way of posting updates, where I show you what I'm working on and release it when its done. I've got too many deadlines to be dealing with this too. It was neat idea for a while to keep me on task, but usually ended up in rushed updates. It took me two days to get the ocelot working, and there was no way I would have got all of the mobs done with that level of polish in 2 weeks.

In the meantime, randomobs prowlers
That's just too bad.
But, also a great idea!
I've learned that patience and discipline are 2 of the most difficult things to master, but also the ones that pay off the most.

Animated textures, CTM, and 64x support are all in the works, in that order. 64x support won't begin until I have completely finished this version, however.

Curse PremiumNext, just a couple of updates on what I've been doing.
That's basically it.

Curse PremiumWorking on it, actually.

Curse PremiumSo, expect less common but better updates
In the meantime, randomobs prowlers :D:D:D
That's just too bad.
But, also a great idea!
I've learned that patience and discipline are 2 of the most difficult things to master, but also the ones that pay off the most.
I patiently await this awesome new update.
