I must say there is no way I'll be able to release the update today without it having the quality you all expect. I'll polish it overnight and have it uploaded some time in the morning (or afternoon).
In the meantime, how does this new Codex thing look? It is designed to be aesthetically similar to the GUI in the game, including having a lower-resolution look to it.
Does the cyan text make it hard to read at all? If so, any colors you suggest?
This is by far the best futuristic texture pack I have seen to date. It's brilliant the way you made this texture pack so you could actually play survival without wondering about things. Wonderful.
It's finally here! It's very late, and I apologize for that. It was much more work than I anticipated, especially if I wanted to get it to look cool and not crap. I also don't have the custom color GUIs in yet. And I left out a few textures like the xp bar, hunger bar, armor bar and inventory gui. Basically, I'm a massive failure :(. In all seriousness though, those few things could have delayed this release even another day. I decided just to put it out already, and I can deal with that stuff as the updates progress.
So, now that that's out of the way, what do you think of the GUI? It was a lot of work to get looking good. You'll also noticed I revamped the OP. Any thoughts on that?
My main inventory, Crafting Tables, chests, Enchanting tables, and anvils are all texture-less. The Creative Mode and Furnace work though. (Haven't checked the rest)

It is looking good from what you've got so far.
I will investigate...
EDIT: Everything works fine on a computer with it freshly installed. Maybe the download messed up, and you need to delete/redownload?
While not as noticable in the normal inventory screen, looking at the player's inventory while interacting with a chest or workbench or something seems very busy. (The squares appear to be shaped differently, which might be the main cause.) On their own, they look awesome, but in practice, I feel like having the squares a solid color might be better for extended play. (Just my own opinion, mind you)

I made the squares shaped normal so that they could scale up/down without a problem. Maybe I'm having a hard time visualizing. Can you send me a screenshot?
EDIT: Workbench through me off. The squares on most machines, including crafting table should look like this:
This scales up neatly because its nothing but horizontal and vertical lines.
This is the old inventory version. It scales up horribly because of the diagonals. Its still present on the chest because if you hadn't guessed, the chest wasn't finished.
The new gui looks great just that perhaps the beacon could be changed in future? because it clashes with my iron pyramid right now....guess i better make it diamond

Curse PremiumI thought about having armor as shields, but it doesn't really make sense since they don't recharge, etc.
EDIT: Mostly got the health, armor, hunger figured out its the xp bar I'm trying to figure out.

The armour could be holographic bars like halo 1's health bar?
Edit:
The little bars below....

Curse PremiumWhen did he bring it up lol? Anyways I don't mind the comparisons to dead space, it alleviates the comparisons to halo.
Those little bars are what I changed the health bar into. Stop worrying guys I got the armor sorted out
And a suggestion for iron golems, how about heavy lifting drone?

Also, I beleive the missing textures is an Optifine problem, because I had to switch to it in order to use mods...
*Grumble* This is annoying. Is there no way to have mods and working texture packs?
I use optifine (Ultra B5 beta currently) and not have problem with textures missing for pack when test it.
