Since holofluid is already used in the creation of the book, the guidance/memory chip idea would work better.
I'm not really interested in doing a texture pack for Dead Space or anything else, really. I did this because it hadn't really been done before to this extent, and because textures packs based on something like Dead Space run into a lot of problem with stuff like mobs. With this I can pull ideas from several different entities, or invent my own mob. As far as a good texture pack, look up Dead Space: Planet Minecraft by sicmap. Although, I haven't heard of him in a while, so I'm unsure of whether he has stopped progress on the pack or simply is too busy with schoolwork to continue right now.

I plan to make the concepts for each of the rest of the GUI's today, and then finish texturing them all on minecraft some time tommorow or the day after. The following days will be about getting the new Codex up and running.

Very nice texture pack I am kind of working on a 32x sci-fi texture pack of my own and am quiet jealous of your work The lore is what makes this pack the most interesting and I can't wait for the codex update. Have an upvote and a thread follow

I really like the look of the ladders an iron bars as well. I don't have anything planned, but if you can think of any blocks that would fit well with that, I'd at least consider it.
Short answer for snow or dirt blocks: no. Those types of textures are scheduled for the Environment Update, which is the update before the release. The reason for this is I a lot of time to think of methods to work on those. If you hadn't been able to tell so far, my style of texturing with the outlines is well suited for metals and solid objects but not so good at portraying organic textures.

Revised inventory gui:
As I alluded to earlier I forwent the grey texture for the nice silvery blue, which contrasts much better. I also replaced the diagonal patterns for the inventory slots with simpler cubes, which scales up so much nicer regardless of your resolution. I still need to do the bit where the armor is overlayed. After that I might do some tinkering and maybe have the cubes be more grid-based instead of monochrome like they are.
Here's a little more explanation on the custom color GUI. When I release the new update, a section will be added for alternate textures. The first addition to this will be custom color gui. I'll have a large list of colors to choose from like red, gold, green, etc. This will replace the color of all holographic portions in the inventory. For other GUI's, like the one for the crafting table, only the holographic part that extends below the top part as well as the hotbar at the bottom will be affected (look back at the crafting table UI to see what i mean). This is because machines will have a locked in UI color that specifies what type of machine they are. Anything that has to do with combat will be red, the basic ones will stay cyan, science machines like the brewing stand will be purple.

Also, by chance, any comments on my map? I'm fairly eager to get feedback to I can work on it some more.

Enchanting is orange (Maker tech so it fits the color scheme of the void-wanderers). The anvil is brown (andranite) metal with gold hologram. That's the health bar, and yes all of those are coming with today's update.
The portrait is new, decided to start from scratch and see what I could come up with. I plan on doing some new forum banners for the tp with this method.

Yeah I was just sorta messing around with different colors. I meant for the final one to be blue, thats why you guys weren't supposed to see it yet because I wasn't sure where I was going with it yet.
To get the banner you should be able to just copy/paste the code for it under the picture into your sig. I see though that it isn't working for you. Maybe the link has expired or something. I'll have new ones up sometime this or next week, though.
EDIT: deleted then reposted the code for my sig, and it isn't broken. I'm not sure whats wrong with yours...
So any ideas for the hunger/food bar? or armour bar?
I'm not entirely sure. I think I might just have the armor bar as like kite-shield symbols, but holographic, and keep the hunger the same and make that holographic. Unless you have any better ideas.

Curse PremiumI'm not entirely sure. I think I might just have the armor bar as like kite-shield symbols, but holographic, and keep the hunger the same and make that holographic. Unless you have any better ideas.
