Windows: 1. Download the texture pack (obviously) 2. Start Minecraft and go to the texture packs menu. 3. Click on the Open texture packs folder. 4. find the .zip and drag it in the texture packs folder. 5. close the texture packs folder & select in the texure packs menu the pack.
Disclaimer: with my mac the open open texture packs folder thing doesn't work for me.

After that go in to the "minecraft" folder in that you should find a "texturepacks" folder. 6. Drag & drop the .zip into that folder. 7. close the folder and start minecraft and choose it in the texture packs menu.
