Hi, Im DiamondAir, or yozo67 (my IGN) and I'm here to tell you about my latest Minecraft project called AmazaCraft. I've been working on this for about a week now, and untill Alpha 3.0, It wasnt ready for full release. But also please do remember that it is only in alpha so its not done yet! I'd like to also let everyone know, that it is now the official texture pack for my server. Here is a Change log and a Download link!

More simple packs? 1 in 1.5 texture packs I see now are horrible simple packs you could whip up in a few minutes by a toddler. Go away until you can make satisfactory textures. Not ugly, 1 in 1267 simple packs.
I don't think it's that bad, really. Maybe ease off the gradients a bit, but it's not "horrible." Of course, if all that you've textured is what's in the picture, then it needs more blocks done, but it's pretty good nonetheless, especially if it's your first one.

Thank you! In 3.0.1, I'm going to work on leaves. 98devin, it is my first one, and I may need some help with leaves. I cant get them to work correctly. Turek, thank you for not hating, unlike some people.
There is a bit too much pillow-shading and gradients though, along with an overall lack of texture/detail. That might not be bad for some people, but you should try to add more variation (or at least finish the terrain file completely).

What people don't understand is that the texture pack is only in Alpha 3.0. It's no where near done yet. Not that you don't understand this, i belive you can read the title.

Most people don't do this? I see at least 2 of these daily, and I always think... If I could turn my own **** into a texture pack, it would be better than these bucket-fill and near-bucket-fill packs.
What you don't understand is that no one gives a damn what stage it's in, because we have standards and expectations that you failed to meet.
I still can't believe you criticized 'Naomi' for being too much colour and not enough texture when this is really just colour with more colour and gradients using the ever-so-handy-need-to-use-in-every-texture, gradient tool!

I'm sorry, but no it isn't. My first texture pack was loaded with tiling errors and looked ugly, but it wasn't a simple pack, and I put a lot of effort into it. And you know what, I didn't release it because I saw how terrible it was. I am currently making my 5th texture pack, and this is the first one that I am going to release because it is the first one that I thought was good enough, and had enough effort into it. I am not trying to discourage you DiamondAir, I am just saying look around the texture pack forum, and then think if this is really good work that people need. Then, put more effort into making something worth while that actually looks good.
I'm sorry but maybe you should go ahead and release the newest one, until then you won't get any positive comments. Personally I don't really like this, it's just not the worst I've seen. Too many people make simple packs thinking that they are "cool" or "popular" when they're really just boring and usually without detail. And gradient pillow-shading is NOT detail. That's just an eyesore.

Now, if you enjoy, by all means make it. For yourself. Don't come here and blatantly ignore what anyone says. The short story here is that this doesn't meet the standards of a good pack here. No, outlines are not exactly shading.
