Thanks for the review! You'll be happy to know that in the current version (0.0.4) I've completed nearly all of the terrain.png file, so many of the textures that were the same in your review have now been updated. Also, the 'tiling' effect is done on purpose-- once I have completed items mobs and the gui, I will be adding a 'seamless' version.
That's good to know. I think when you make the seamless version, you should make use of Optifine's CTM to still keep the lovely gradient edges.
I seem to be getting a stray pixel with wheat and netherwarts. Perhaps this is an issue with the latest multi-core version of optifine, but let it be noted.
I am pleased to announce that Pixelistic by Daruuk is now in Beta (0.1.0)! Gui screens are now up, and all major blocks have been completed. I have also tried to fix that annoying artifact bug on the 32x and 64x packs where little specks appear above torches and saplings and wheat has a strange lining.
Amazing. One of the first over-32x that looks somewhat amazing.
Really awesome, although you misght want to put more pictures in OP, not link to imgur.
Also, there are some quite obvious tiling errors..... grids galore!
Also, did you use a filter, or are these all hand-made?
Good news! Due to popular request, I've decided to make Pixelistic 'seamless'! Please see the pictures above for an idea of how it's looking. Also, I've discovered CTM, so the landscapes are truly becoming breathtaking :-) Download to come soon.
Since the last comment in this thread, the method by which Minecraft takes textures has changed, and now only chests and GUI buttons seem to work. Are you planning to continue updating Pixelistic?
If it helps encourage you, this is one of the most interesting texture packs I've ever used. It looks amazing while still being familiar, and the way the textures are applied to the pixelated defaults just add a lot to the look and feel of it.
