Hey, I'm really loving the pack so far, it's just what I was looking for! However, I am having one problem.
I would like to tweak a couple of things in the pack (delete the HD sun and moon, and add some more random mob skins) but if I change/delete any of the files in the zip the pack stops functioning entirely. Nothing works, I am not even able to select it on the texture packs screen.
Do you know what could be causing this?
I use the pack with optifine (I realize it's not fully supported) and everything ususally works for me. I also have ModLoader and Forge installed, and I am on a Mac (but that shouldn't make a difference).
Interesting concept, and how frequently do the mobs blink because I noticed they didn't seem to blink at all, did I not watch long enough or did it not with the latest version of optifine?
This texturepack is the best one I've ever seen so far! Why wouldn't anyone like camouflaged creepers or the lamps (which are perfect for redstone work)?
Hrm, I like how you use the diode symbol for the diodes, but could you use the comparator electrical symbol for comparators? It's almost the same as what you have now, but one input is marked positive and one input is marked negative.
Love the pack though. Great to have a texture pack that's *almost* the original, but gets rid of all the graphical niggles that break immersion for me *coughrepeatingtexturescough*.
I saw CavemanFilms used this texture pack and I think it's super cool. Although I noticed some little things you might need to fix...
I just filmed a texture pack review for this! I will upload it soon
Very nice work, and unlike fancier packs, this doesn't make every other mod look out of place. I know that some people dislike the default textures, but unless you're playing Vanilla, no new textures will match the other 40+ mods you're running. And since only texture packs have decent mod support (Faithful32 and that comic book one), this is a welcome addition.
That said, I am running into some minor bugs. Most of the textures look right, but the cobwebs are still 16x16 blobs, not the 32x32 textures shown on your screen shots. Also, your OP says:
Removed Connected Textures feature from glass panes and added thin lines between all panes instead.
I'm not seeing that. Glass blocks are transparent with thick white borders as expected, but glass panes are still using CTM, and the normal hashed texture.
What Minecraft version are you playing? Are you using Optifine instead MCPatcher? Any other mods installed? If you play Minecraft 1.4.7, clean your installation, patch your game with MCPatcher 2.4.5_02 and install your mods using MCPatcher to avoid incompatibilities with any texture-related features.
If you're using Optifine, always note that it does not support all the special texture features of MCPatcher, especially the "Better Glass" and "Better Skies" mods are missing, parts of the "Custom Colors" mod does not work properly and CTM method=fixed is not supported (which is used for the glass panes texture).
Thank you. I'm running Minecraft 1.4.7 and Optifine. I cannot use MCPatcher, as it's incompatible with Magic Launcher, FTB, and any mod that uses Forge (which is 90% of them.) However, Optifine does support CTM and Better Skies. The latter I improved for my copy of your textures, by borrowing from the Inspiration set. Looks fantastic btw.
Frankly, I'm puzzled by the low-rez cobwebs. Cobweb textures are in the terrain.png file for every other texture pack, and yours is missing that file, so how can you replace them? Presumably not via Random Textures, since those work perfectly with Optifine.

All this will be less puzzle-like with the upcoming 1.5 texturepack format, things like cobweb will work for everyone, even with Optifine.
That will be good. Strange that the current version doesn't work with Optifine, since your other custom textures and animations behave. Regardless, this pack is a welcome addition. I look forward to future updates.
Could you look into making this shader compatible? I used it until I found seus v10 so would appreciate the pack being made compatible.
That would be nice, but how practical is it? Unless all of your mod textures are also updated, you'll still have problems. And very few mods do more than default 16x16 textures. I found shader packs to be useless because of that. Vanilla textures looked great, but anything else was horrible, especially terrain mods such as Extrabiomes.

I don't use other mods that add blocks or items because if I want to got to 1.5 and my mod isn't updated I either have to wait or lose my items. And I'm not paitent.

Hey man I just wanted to say good job on this tp and keep up the good work! I liked it so much I wanted to ask you if I could make a video of it and upload it on Monday. Please respond to let me know if that is ok with you.

EDIT: Never mind I figured out the problem

Does the inventory icon have the symbol too? Say hello to redstone that actually looks like a proper circuit diagram!
