I don't get why people keep saying this is lame-THAT'S THE POINT! I'm going to try it, seems like a fun idea. For me, most texture packs are confusing because you can't tell what anything is, but this pack makes it way easier.

You know the real irony behind this is that this still took at least a little more effort than most bad texture packs.
I actually think this is fairly clever. It's not super hilarious "let's get this stuff on Saturday Night Live" style satire, but it's something I've even considered doing, had I had the guts to attempt it. It's nice to know I wasn't the only one to think of it.
But if you're going to make an intentionally bad texture pack for kicks and giggles, you should complete the experience. I want to see cows with bad cow disease, I want to see creepers with smiles on their faces, I want to see tools that are hilariously mis-shapen. I want a sun that looks like it's on the verge of a supernova! Of course, they should still be recognizable and reasonably faithful to keep from being OFF THE WALL CRAYAayayayAYAYayaAYAZAY! but I want to be able to appreciate every last bit of my other texture packs, not just the terrain.
Oh, and the "failcraft" text in the first post should be Comic Sans. Some people appreciate the attention to detail a truely bad texture pack provides.
What makes this pack different is you know its bad, and you meant for it to be. This off the bat makes this pack that much better.
Your idea of dulling the visual sense by devoiding it of detail is actually a very valid claim, so the fact that you are successful at what you set out to do is major kudos.
