Hi, I'm cartnickz from the CartnickPod and I made a texture pack. When I first updated my Minecraft to 1.8, I noticed that some things looked different. I noticed the cobblestone looked different, but thought not much about it. When I updated to 1.0 I noticed the iron block looked different. A couple days ago I thought about it again and started looking for an old minecraft.jar file. I did find one and it turned out to be from Alpha times. I extracted the files and looked at the terrain files. I compared them to today's Minecraft textures and found that I was right! They did change the cobblestone texture! I kept looking at the textures and I found that it was more than the cobblestone that was changed, the mossy cobblestone was also changed. The wool was brighter and so was the brick. Remember when the monster spawner was blue? Probably not, but when you see it you will be surprised. I think they changed it to look more realistic. I decided to make a texture pack to see if it would bring back memories. I did want to do more so I changed the inventory screen, the crafting screen, the furnace, the chests and I will work on the enchantment screen. I will only work on the gui. I still want to keep the old terrain because it is soooooo awesome. Try out the texture pack. You don't need MCPatcher.
