Maybe. I might take a shot at items too eventually.
Sounds great.
Heh, I hate to come off mean, but since you are having troubles with items at this res, it looks kinda silly in my hotbar. It goes from vanilla textures to 5x. xD

I haven't done items yet.......

Peyton, It looks like you just made giant squares and then posted it. Put a lot more work into your next one
This took a lot of work to make. A lot of time and effort went into making something that was low-res but still presentable. While I will agree that this isn't my best work, it still took time to get everything just how I wanted it to look. And a little sneak peek of my next pack, also a low res. (8x). Jolihalf! 8x version of Jolicraft, made with permission from Andre.

Just because your pack is 5x dose not mean it needs to be so simplistic... Using less colors dose not make it run faster.
5x means the game only has to render 5x5 (25) pixels per block face, vs 16x16 (256) pixels per face. Regardless of the colors, the number of pixels can make a lot of difference. In this case, about 10 times less pixels.

Cast aside your festive doylaks: dragon stuff is about to happen.
Multiplayer is lonely once you understand how it actually works.

Didn't someone on here prove that unless you're going for 512x or higher, the resolution of the texture pack has no lasting impact on your performance.
As in 16x 32x 64x 128x 256x 512x ... there will be no major difference in performance.

No, the resolution has an effect on performance, I run REALLY slow on a 64x but fast on an 8x. It is a fact of texturing that the lower the resolution, the faster the game.

I mis-posted, I meant that a low res makes it faster, but less colors don't, and that I still wanted to keep it simple.
Mod support in the distant future?
Maybe. I might take a shot at items too eventually.
Thanks, hope you like it!

Could be me, but the download seems to keep stalling out.Never mind, it was just taking it's jolly good time in starting.
(10 minutes)
Thanks, in the next update they will have more dimension.
That, and better distinction between blocks, like reeds, and wheat. Oh, and do something with cactus, not too fond of it.
Yup
I made the cactus a rosebush so the needles wouldn't be all messed up in-game.

Make it 4x or 8x.
