This texture pack has been discontinued for a while, and is only compatible with Minecraft 1.2.5. However, if anyone would like to take on this texture pack and complete it, go ahead. You don't even need to ask permission.
This texture pack started when I found the Portal Gun Mod, by iChun. I found out that the normal Minecraft textures aren't very good for making test chambers. I decided to make my own texture pack instead of using someone else's, partially because I had nothing to do at the time, and because my poor computer couldn't run very fast with texture packs of 64x or higher. This pack isn't ideal for normal Minecraft gameplay, but is a very good pack for maps. So, to any mappers out there, you are free to use this in your maps. And to anyone wanting to edit this or otherwise incorporate this pack into theirs, go ahead, as long as you credit me for those textures.(A note on above screenshot: That portal is not part of the texture pack, you'll have to download the Portal Gun Mod for that.)
"They say that great textures are built on the shoulders of giants. Not here. We make all of our textures from scratch. No hand holding."

In other words, no borrowed textures from other texture packs.
Note: This texture pack requires an HD Patcher. I recommend OptiFine. Download Link: http://adf.ly/7sZ1q
Also, here is a little map you can test your textures on.
(Make sure you vote in the polls! Your opinion is appreciated.) Currently planned: (No longer planned, seeing as this is discontinued)
-More/better paintings
-Cleanup, mostly in the items.png file-32x custom textures for blocks now using default 16x textures
-Portal themed iron doors (mappers will just have to use normal looking iron doors for now)
-New remake of everything into a different resolution, IF this texture pack gets popular enough, then is actually wanted by enough of you.
-Custom water/lava textures

Also, here is a banner you can paste into your signature:
V3 (1.2.5):
+More dirty tiles
+New torch texture
+Fixed Jack-O-Lanterns to look more like the original no-portal tile (also did this for the tile under the button/pressure plate)
+A few tweaks to some textures
V2.1 (1.2.5):
+Darkened GUI buttons (text was hard to read on the white buttons)
+???
V2 (1.2.5):
+Added a few plants and new vine texture
+Some new dirty tiles
+New Aperture computers
+Small changes to a few blocks
+New title screen logo
+Probably added something else I forgot-Removed a few unnecessary images to free up space
V1 (1.2.5): Original release
A note to mappers: One of the wooden plank blocks are invisible; this is to provide a barrier between the areas you are and aren't supposed to go to in a map. (I find this especially useful for any maps where you go outside of the test chambers.)
If you want to know which blocks should and shouldn't have portals on them for the Portal Gun mod, here are the data values you can paste into the mod's properties file:45, 49, 16, 56, 34, 89, 20, 33, 5:0:1:2:3, 35:0:4:5:6:7:8:9:10:11:12:14:15, 21, 73, 74, 86, 91, 97:2:3, 98:0:1:2:, 48, 46, 24:0:1:2, 12, 13, 112, 41, 42, 57, 123, 124, 3, 17:0:1, 82(Also, that is blacklisted, not whitelisted.)
Thanks to Valve for making Portal 2, and iChun for giving me a reason to make this pack, and also this forum for, uh, being here.
Okay, so I'm going to release an update very soon. The thing is, when I'm trying to upload the file to MediaFire, it says that the progress is "queued" and is stuck at 0%. Any suggestions?
EDIT: Nevermind, I uploaded it now and you can download the updated version.
To be honest, I always listen to Portal 2 music while making this texture pack and doing anything Portal related, and so now I always hear Portal music in my head
Wow! What a fantastic texture pack. While playing, It felt like I was actually playing portal 2. Well done.
That said, I'm very intrigued by the screenshots there...could I persuade you into posting the DL link for that map, or at least what you have so far? I'm building an underground facility for a server, and I'd love to see how you went about plotting the architecture of the test chambers.

Sure! I should clean it up a little first, though. I basically just made a cube, put other, smaller cubes in it, then detailed it with special blocks.

Alright! There is a map download right under the texture pack download link. It uses V3 of the pack, so make sure you have that.
It's not a texture pack meant for normal Minecraft playing, it is meant for maps that are supposed to look like Portal 2. In fact, I think I said that in the main post.

Kan jag fa en kottbulle?
Hm, I'll have to look into that. Maybe just try re-installing or re-downloading for now.
