did you use mcpatcher or optifine. Im using this with mcpatcher and it works just fine.
I also can't seem to find the Quartz block file.
However I do have some constructive criticism. In my opinion there are only two major things that could be changed in order to keep with the default look:
The first is the vine texture, (I do understand that this might be addressed in your 'rough' version of R3D in future releases.) The problem with it is that the edges are very smooth and the vines have a rounded texture, in my opinion this really doesn't fit with the style you are going for. Instead, can I suggest keeping the original texture's pixelated outline, and instead use your traditional method of overlaying a nice, hi-res, pattern to give it that great R3D look.
The second is the jungle leaf texture, the only issue I found is that, unlike the other leaf block textures (which look amazing!) it doesn't maintain the original texture's shape with rectangular segments, instead opting for a diagonal jagged appearance. As is with the vines, I would recommend sticking with the original pixelated outline and overlaying the appropriate pattern.
Of course this is simply my opinion, and you can take what you want from it! I would just like to thank you for putting all this time and effort into making such a great texture pack, and wish you the best of luck with your future endeavours.

Shrike
Can you not read? It clearly says 1.5 or did you just click the download button without second thoughts.
I appreciate the criticism, as always. Thank you
Yes, the vines do defiantly not belong there, but that's not weird, because it really does belong to the upcoming "R3D.CRAFT: Smooth Realism"-version. I simply keep it in there because some people seem to like it anyway. You can simple enter the texture pack zip file and delete the "vine.png" in textures --> blocks, if you do not wish to see that texture. It will get swapped with the default one.
Yes, I've told everyone that the current leaf blocks will not be temporary. I'm not satisfied at all. I'm just having trouble figuring out how they may look. Just be patient with that, and again, if you don't like them, delete them

I found out that Minecraft lagg significantly more when nothing is applied to it. After testing, Optifine would not solve this problem. It might do that in the future, but not now. MC Patcher, on the other hand, did! It even added that transparent edge to the flames (doesn't look perfect, but it's still nice).
Please go and download the latest version of MC Patcher for 1.5 here:

Remember to thank the MC Patcher's author for his awesome work as well

I opened a few of them in photoshop and checked the dimensions some were 511x512 and 513x512 and 511x513 you get the idea.
Thank you so much for taking time to report this. This have been fixed now and you can try downloading R3D.CRAFT again

i am using 512X right now.
Quick question whats the meaning of the numbers ? 32 64 and so on ?
32x means 32 pixels by 32 pixels.
64x means 64 pixels by 64 pixels.
Etc...
It's the resolution of the texture pack (quality). The original resolution is 512x512, but seeing that most people can't even run that, it's down-scaled to 256x256, 128x128, 64x64 and 32x32.
Make sure you have the latest version of Minecraft (1.5).
Try to install MCPatcher instead and see if that helps.
I hope that will help.

Do you have MCPatcher installed? If not, please try to install the newest version of that. There really should not be a problem if you have.

EDIT: Just tried MCPatcher now all i am getting is a black screen...
This isn't a mod, so there shouldn't be any conflicts with any mods...
I hope you didn't use mcpatcher and optifine at the same time because using both will kill your mc.
