I love that I read that 6 times and didn't notice that you answered the question. Ueheheheh...
Awesome, still wondering what Tiger (waitaminute did I read something that led me to believe that that was their handle or something? Why am I calling the author that? I hate my memory.) works in. I believe I saw Paint.net in his speed draw, but I'm not sure... I can't get used to that interface. Sheer curiosity now, I'll work in lower res if I need to, but it's hard to find stock that works with lower resolutiions. Out of time for today so I guess I'll get started tomorrow... up-sizing takes way too much time.
Hi, there.
You can do as many personal changes you want, as long as you keep it privately or in videos. There's more information about this at the bottom of the front page.
I work in Adobe Photoshop CS5.5 when I create these textures. I personally recommend it if you seek an powerful program that handles graphical work quite well. It's not a free program like GIMP, though.
Regarding the re-sizing, I just automatically re-size the the textures from 512x512. The true original R3D.CRAFT is 512x512.

Good to hear. I actually have CS5 at home, I just never use it because I can't get used to the interface. Its hard to switch from Gimp. XD
Still, I'm amazed that so much detail is maintained when you resize... I guess starting out in 512 really does make all the difference.
Oh, and Tiger: check out the trading GUI, it seems just a little bit funky. I'll post a screenshot once I've got everything set up, public computers mean I have to keep everything I need in storage and then download it every day.

Don't bother with the screenshot. I am aware about that.
Doubtful, that map works by looking at what blocks are in the surface of the chunk section it's drawing, then assigning a color based on the most prevalent block. You can make pixel art with it, but it's time consuming. This video explains maps quite well.
Minecraft's maps actually look at a 2x2 space now, instead of the old 8x8.
Ah! i cant wait for an update in the texture pack, not to rush, but what is taking so long ? D: this is in 90% for like a month or two ...
Any ways....
This is.............
the best texture pack i've ever found yet.
and believe me i searched a lot.
i gotta say, man... you have some great talent.
Anyone using the 512x512 version? My system chokes a bit with that high a resolution, so I have to use one of the lower ones, but I was wondering what it looks like "in action."
Please post if you've got 'em!
Here's one of mine, in 256x256, a Zombie Fight Stadium:
OK, but after some posts it seems, that some users don't get updated and still want new version right now. I think, you should rename your topic (version and finished %), install picture with this main post and the last post about your education. Also, some people, like me, don't like to read thousand of pages and comments to know progress of this project and when it will be ready.
Sorry, if my English-speaking is so awful, but when I put this text in English to Google Translater and translate it to Russian I was really shocked. That's all was translated, like I want to tell you! Word for word! That's an achievement for me!
I would mine a million blocks, get a stack of diamond, and toss all of it in a pit of lava if only I could have a 16x version of this pack with support for IC2, Buildcraft, and NEI.
Edit: Then again I don't think that it'd work at all well as a 16x pack, haha.

Lets try to answer your questions and translate "this"
1. This texturepack is awesome and just AMAZING!
2. Update is coming soon
3. What? Tiger is using Photoshop CS5, I using Paint.Net to remake it
4. Sometimes it will be done
5. Mod-textures support will come, when this texturepack will be done.
6. ^
7. My English is better And you know, sometimes I translate some children's unban requests from Russian to Russian on our server D:

Curse PremiumI keep smaller updates on Facebook instead of here. That's the deal with having a fanpage on Facebook, so that people can easier get updated.
Edit: Then again I don't think that it'd work at all well as a 16x pack, haha.

thank you.
