I wouldn't say VanillaHD look exactly like R3D.CRAFT. Vanilla is very, very gently on implying texture to the blocks/items, and so far, that's all I can see out from the displayed images. R3D.CRAFT on the other hand include more texture and you can more easily spot a difference. R3D.CRAFT is also wrappingaround the concept of trying to be more 3D-like, which really creates a difference and gives you a illusion of more depth.
I'm not trying to say VanillaHD is bad in any form. It's a great texture for those who want those extra gently details. I'm just implying that these two textures are not equal.
That's because Minecraft doesn't use mip-mapping (details decreases further away blocks go). It's a shame really. Mods like Optifine or the water shader have this option included. You'll see grain/noise in all high-quality texturepacks, if you don't use mip-mapping.

Great texturepack. I love the Minecraft graphics but I just can't stand the low resolution. This pleases my eyes much nicer. Can't wait for the other 50%.

very good pack, very good feel. i tried simmilar packs and this one is very clean, aesthetic and well made cant w8 for updates!
*edit: smooth stone looks little wierd from longer distance, it have some repetetive patern and does not look good, it shuld blend better with other smooth stone blocks nearby.
