Bringing textures to such a spectrum takes a load of time if it's wanted to look decent. At average it could take up to an hour and a half for some of the 'lower res' options (being 64x as I'm going off estimates from someone else who tried). So it will finish, as there is a to do list lined up, but otherwise it will take a while. Patience is a virtue!
I love how it looks C: Once MCpatcher updates for the snapshot I'll be playing with this at last XD
Yes. I've decided that this texture has potential, and I won't take it for granted. I just have a lot of other things to think about as well.
Also, producing this texture takes a lot time. I'm very strict with how things look, and some particular textures take several hours to finish.
I don't want to rush this texture. I never want to look at the textures as "untouchable". I will most likely continuously change and improve the already finished textures, when R3D is 100% done. Perfection. Optimization.
I've just uploaded a new exclusive image-preview of the items. You can find this preview on R3D.CRAFT's fan page on Facebook.
If you want further updates like this, I'd suggest you to like the fan page, as you'll get instant updates on Facebook whenever I post some more news or exclusive previews.
There's still no official date for when the next update release for R3D.CRAFT gets published. I still need to finish more to have enough to release. That will be more mobs, many items and some GUI as well.

I spent about 2 and a half hours to finish the two books and the quill. I think the book is one of my most impressive items so far. I began to place textures more correctly and I manipulate them, change their form and perspective, so they will look more natural on-top of the objects. I did this with the shears and the texture blends quite good against the brown object.
I've been working a lot the last week and this weekend. I've mostly focused on the items, as there's so many left. I also felt for working on them. I was kinda inspirited.
Just to be more specific, here's a list of what I've done so far:
Added all new textures from the newest snapshot, 12W34B.
Added Fishing Rod item.
Added a slightly new Stick item.
Added Chicken item (cooked and raw).
Added painting item.
Added Sign item.
Added Gold Nugget item.
Added Ghast Tear item.
Added String item.
Added Bowl item.
Added Book item.
Added Book & Quill item.
Added Paper item.
Added Map item.
Added Repeaters item.
Added Red Apple and Golden Apple item.
Added Egg item.
Added Shears item.
Added Melon Slice and Glistering Melon Slice item.
Added Boat item.
Added Clock item.
Added Compass item.
Added buckets (need more work).
Added Iron, Gold and Diamond Armor (needs more work).
When I look over this list, I realize I've made a lot of textures. I've also experienced that I work faster, even though I'm just as strict with design as I was before (I'M NOT LOOSING UP!).
There's still no official date for when the next update will be released. I will update you when I have enough to say "This is 95% done!".

The clay texture has noticeable tiling -- the edges are just a tad too dark. I'd either tone that down or alternatively darken up the middle
They look like something from defscape.
Yeah, they do

Curse PremiumI know about this and I will change it. The tiling is horrible. Thanks for the suggestion

Why wouldn't it already be compatible with it? It's a texture pack, not a mod...
Not all the blocks from tekkit are there
