my thoughts for years been. updated r3dcraft dr orr no texture pack at all. none level up to r3dcraft. r3dcraft is best. but needs mo work. maybe if other ppl speak up here about how much they like redcraft then developement could pickup somehow..
im talking about 100 percent done and perfectiom btw nothing less. sry. anyways. just my thoughts (:
btw hello mcf(: its taken me a while to get used to this site but gradually i lwarn more and more basic stuff and gain more interest and love for mcf great place. i just always been more occupied by other places nearby

I actually don't mind the missing textures that much, as I use the Default Realism version anyway. The only thing I can't really stand in it is the glass, it looks nothing like classic Minecraft. It needs some large pixels.
Personally, I would like to help with the missing textures. I already added a few in the pack I uploaded, since basically only the Birch was missing, and all I had to do was take another form of wood, brighten and desaturate it, and it looks perfect.
Hey, I don't know if you knew it, but I've found out that, with the 32x smooth at least, the font on signs make it so that writing one with the vanilla resource pack and then switching to your texture pack, will make disappear words if the line space was used at its fullest. It could be a really sneaky bug.
In Photoshop, you have a filter called Oil Paint under "Filter" that creates this effect (with the correct values). It's in most Photoshop versions, except in the most recent "CC" or "CC 2014).

Can you say me step by step how do you have make this effect?
Default Realism is a bit behind and I personally prefer the nod to classic Minecraft. Will the missing textures be included at some point? No pressure.
i really like the most recent changes to 512x smooth realism. I'm glad this back is still alive and well, but am wondering what a mines creeper GUI is...

like many users of the minecraft forums i'm a member of the server total war (IP:167.114.100.168:438) the server includes a 1:1500 scale map of earth.

Alright, I'll throw in my 2 cents. I'll start off by saying that Default Realism doesn't appeal to me at all. Now, I have nothing against the default textures. I even have Faithful installed. The issue for me, and what is stopping me from installing this one, is that I feel like its just the default textures with some real textures slapped on (the crafting table primarily giving me this impression). Like, I get the appeal and I don't hate you if you like it, so don't come banging down on my door, its just not for me.
Smooth realism though, that's a really nice pack. Basically, my mission has been to make a super realistic, Minecraft, shaders and all. I'm usually quite into a stylised look, but I just wanted to see how far I could go on my PC with something real looking, and this seems to be a great pack to do this with. Though some textures aren't present, I'm really liking what I see! Keep up the good work.
Honestly 30% of the posts are like "wow this is so good except for missing textures".
Anyways, if you do truly like this pack, plz consider helping us completing the pack. Here is a summary:

This is some high quality sheet, cant wait until complete
One of the few resource packs that can have another resource pack's addons be added in and is almost seamless.
Yes, Faithful's addons can be used with this.
