Finally got around to testing the update version and like it a lot. The granite feels kind of, odd, not sure how to describe it. Really like the iron door and oak door. They just look good, period. Stone slab looks great with that minor edge on the outline. The plants look perfect. Overall, everything so far for the Smooth Realism (the one I use), looks amazing. Only few things I can think of possibly changing in the future, would be villagers, Iron Golems, bookshelves, enchant table, and maybe even slime blocks. Oh and of course the other wooden doors. But for now, this is an amazing resourcepack that I have always used, and will continue to use. Was able to have a friend use the Default Realism pack, but he likes the default-type look more than the smooth type.
Nice Work, this Texturepack is very great. THX :-)
Can you say me how do you made the brushstrokes in the paintings?
In Photoshop, you have a filter called Oil Paint under "Filter" that creates this effect (with the correct values). It's in most Photoshop versions, except in the most recent "CC" or "CC 2014).
I just wanted to say that I love the Default Realism pack! Even if you don't intend to keep updating it, thanks for what exists thus far. I really love it and I appreciate how much work obviously went into it.
Make sure you installed Optifine before installing the texture pack. If this doesn't work try MCPatcher.
It's an issue with 1.8 and how it handles transparent pixels on items. MCPatcher or OptiFine won't fix this. You're going to have to erase the semi-transparent pixels by hand or automatically with a photo editing tool.
Hello and thank you for the excellent texture pack. I'm using the 256x smooth version with Optifine (default settings) and have no problems.
On another note, I do have a question about the 512x pack. I can run it (after increasing my launcher code to 2G) but just as with all the other 512s I've tried, the field of view beyond only a very short range becomes so grainy it appears to sparkle, especially with grass and stone. This grainy/sparkly effect is so strong as to be overwhelming, I can't use it. Is this a common artifact at this resolution or is there an Optifine setting to reduce/eliminate it?
Thank you.
P.S. I use a PC with 8-core AMD and 2G AMD video card.

Mip-mapping and filtering will fix that.

it says 1.7. Is it 1.7 or 1.8? YU put 1.8 up

Why you guys no have 1.8 for default realism
Takes a while to do a resource pack.
if i edit this pack by making a addon for this pack can i use edited texures from your pack?
btw are you gonna fig the buggy sides of tools the reason this happens is becuase of semi transparent textures
-thanks ksores
Will Smooth Realism be updated?
Or do we have to mix our own textures now?
Just wonderin'
Thank you for keeping this resource pack updated. Smooth Realism is, by far, my favorite resource pack. Again, thank you for your work.
The buggy sides of tools can be fixed by using MCPatcher or Optifine.
i use optifine and it is still not fixed do i need to turn on a setting?
Make sure you installed Optifine before installing the texture pack. If this doesn't work try MCPatcher.
Help! Why it keeps going back to default !!
the texturepack 512 default .. pls help!
You do not have sufficient memory to load the resources. When this happens, Minecraft will shut down all resource packs upon attempting to load them.

This pretty irrelevant, but what's that fruit in your picture called?
I was talking to you. Sorry; I'm not too good at quoting. Anyway, what fruit is that in your profile picture?
