I love, love this texture pack. Im not sure why your not updating it to 1.8, but for whatever reasons may be behind it I say good luck, and take your time.
They all work for 1.8, you just have to install java 64-bit to make them work.
I've been asking this question for ages. I always believed he was working; I would just rage because the incredibly slow pace made me wonder how much time he put into it.
But now that the Mediafire link is gone, I'm beginning to think that the project is over. RedCraft is dead.

Yep, Im afraid that's the sad truth. Maybe there is a talented texture pack maker that could continue the project?

I'm not experienced, but any textures that are missing or not my type I just make myself, like this new little diamond ( http://gyazo.com/ae03cbae5890aff275d4a240b5a0bee4 ) or I have to borrow them from another pack, that's the best we can do.
If you don't like to play fill in the blanks with your texture packs maybe there IS somebody more skilled who could do it, but since the pack creator seems to be silent, how would we get the rights anyways?
Nope, the new 1.8 blocks aren't textured with the version I have, but for some reason he tagged it as 1.8
UniBlue replied to a comment somewhat like yours and said "I tagged it as 1.8 because it works with 1.8 but isn't updated with 1.8 blocks" or something, sadly hes barely updating this pack since 1.7
Uniblue has never been responsive to the people supporting his project, even those sending him money. His attitude has been one of the worst I've seen here, which is too bad because it's a great texpack. I gave up on him about six months ago and started updating it with my own textures.
He will pop up again and claim he's back at it, add two or three new blocks, then disappear again. Someone should formally take over this pack, and if he whines about his rights, let him sue. Then he can repay the money to the people who made donations.

Under normal circumstances, I would disapprove of your suggestion violently. But seeing as how UniBlue obviously doesn't care about this project, I agree whole-heartedly. Let someone else release a new update. Heck, by the time UniBlue notices, the patch will probably have so many followers that he'll have a hard time shutting it down. Frankly, if UniBlue is having irl issues, he should be upfront about it. Look at Misa. You don't see people violently demanding her to give way the rights to her pack. Why? Because she's informed us of her situation and allowed others to patch her pack while she tries to get her life together. If UniBlue would do the same, I'd be fine with it. But he's not doing that. The amount of textures missing from this pack is ridiculous. A while back, Huahwi (a YouTuber) made a R3D Craft mix pack. He included many textures from R3D Craft, but mixed in others. R3D Craft didn't even have enough textures for his mix; he had to substitute Faithful textures for places where he wanted to use nonexistent R3D Craft textures.
For those who want an alternative to this pack, I highly suggest the newly released Default HD. Its creator is dedicated and updates often. He's adding all sorts of features such as 3D Models, Custom Skies, and better shader support. It's an awesome pack, and easily integrate-able. I don't want this to sound too much like a sales pitch, but I really do like it and suggest you try it.
I made my own textures for andesite, diorite, and granite, also fixed the enchantment GUI so it has 2 item boxes instead of 1. There are no other textures in the pack, I use it on top of the r3d.craft packs in my game.
There's nothing stopping people from expanding upon this texture pack. Feel free to do so. You are not breaking any rules, any copyright guidelines or upsetting anyone. Just keep in mind that it's technically not right (and if you ask me, disrespectful) to upload someone else work when they don't want it to be. Since the Minecraft client now allows you to add more than one texture pack to the resource pack panel, there's simply no reason for someone who wish to expand this resourcepack to include my original files in addition to theirs.
But, as you all know, this is the internet, and there's not like anythings stopping you from doing what you want.

I understand that some of you want answers, but please respect that I don't want to share my personal life here.
Any time I post, Uniblue comes out of hiding. He can be silent for months, and if I post a single comment, he runs back. I'm like his own personal batsignal.
So, you're welcome, internet.
Isn't there a board rule, though, about closing threads for dead mods or packs? Technically, he's still shilling for donations on his OP, and I'm pretty sure you can't do that if you actually have no intent on ... you know... producing something.

https://www.mediafire.com/folder/jt7z19ip1ix0a//minecraft_textures - made 128, 256, and 512 versions if anyone else wants. I don't think i will make any other textures for 1.8 since these are the only ones missing from r3dcraft that really bother me right now.

Can we get a moderator ruling here?
