You have to make the specular maps. I've been doing this on mine using a program called CrazyBump. I've been using it to turn normal maps into height maps and apply it to the alpha channel for POM. I did something similar, with my own tweaks, to create specular maps.
I've been making my own.
The texture pack I would like to do this on is too low resolution to do it right.
However, using Nvidia's plugin for Photoshop on Normalmaps, and custom making speculars, because I only want certain parts to shine is how I get this effect.
it's the type of texture pack i have been searching for the graphic is absolutely perfect but please can you do so for some block and material that remained unchanged otherwise it's the best thank you and do not forget to let me know when you will update it. thanks
Are there some missing icons for you guys? The diamond texture is missing and horse armor... maybe more. Is that just me? I love the pack... keep up the good work! :-)
Will this not work at all on 1.7.10? I've installed it (just like I've always done in the past) but whenever I select "Done" it waits for a minute (like normal) and then doesn't load at all.

I've had this happen before. I think if you don't have enough vram, it will go back to default when it doesn't load. I've had this happen when I tried to use 512 x 512.

I doubt that's the problem- have a GTX 770 installed with 2 GB of VRAM; that should presumably be plenty considering I've gotten it to load on my laptop with has an Intel HD 4000 with only 1 GB.
Has anyone found a similar texpack to this one? Updates on this one are insanely bad, and given the amount of work needed for 1.8, it will be 2025 before we ever see banners or the like.
Any recommendations for similar "enhanced default" packs that might actually get completed within a few years of a given release?

cannot get the Bumpmap to work, too. Putting both resourcepacks in the list doesn't make it work. I remember when i tried out the LB Photo Realism with Bumpmap and it worked several years ago. maybe Minecraft has some issues packing both packs in to the jar during runtime.

It'll be updated when it's updated. Just follow the thread
