Hello... I'm just wondering, I tried 512x for both smooth and default realism, but when I choose them, my mc launcher automatically jumps back to the original texture.... any idea why?
Hello fellow minecrafters. I am sure this has been answered and I missed it, if so my bad. But when I try to use any of the R3D.craft SR shaders packs with minecraft nothing happens. I did see that he mentioned, "
it still needs to wait on an update from the developers behind the shader mods, to fully work with 1.7.4."
Does this mean that it does not work at all in 1.7.4 or 1.7.5? I just want to make sure I am not doing something wrong. Thanks. P.S. Other HD packs have worked.
I'm not sure if this has been noted or asked or anything, but both smooth and default realisms are missing the clouds texture for x64. I saw from the logs that they should be added. Are they just missing in the zip or are they only available from the higher tiered packs?
I'd recommend at least 3GB assigned. My Minecraft sits at around 2.5GB when using 512x512 textures and I assign 4GB of RAM, so:
---
512x512 Texture/Resource Pack Requirements:
Minimum Required: 3GB (3072MB)
Recommended: 4GB (4096MB)
---
Make sure to not ever assign more than 3/4 of installed RAM as that can cause the computer to lock up (eg. If you have 8GB of RAM, don't ever assign more than 6GB, and even with 3/4 of RAM assigned, you will need to close down background programs to ensure no lock-up occurs)
Here is my Minecraft RAM usage when using R3D 512x on a single player map, btw:

Oh I stand corrected.
I personaly use 128x and haven't tested 512x for a long time, so thanks for the info.
Wait, why does the tutorial how to install it say "You need optifine or MCPatcher", and the texture pack itself has a mcpatcher folder o.o
Also how can i fix the HD font? I keep getting like super ugly text of the texture pack. I have tried to install it using Optifine, MCPatcher and without any of them but getting the same ugly texts here are he pictures (tried 32x32 and 64x64)
I have tried many ways of fixing this, I watched your video how to install it, still nothing.
I don't know if my computer needs to use higher texture pack than 32x32 or 64x64
I love the texture pack anyway or anyhow Great work
The smooth version is GREAT! I really love this resource pack! The only thing I need to mention is that there is no sign texture, so all the signs I place down are always changing textures. I just took a sign texture out of a different resource pack and put it into this pack to fix this.

Hey um.. I don't mean to beat a dead horse.. but uh.. I am using the 512x512 "Smooth" version, and I have a very poor quality computer with old components in it.. yet I have zero lagg, and I have multiple programmes open, including TeamSpeak, Skype, TeamViewer, and I currently have nine tabs open in Google chrome. I am running Minecraft on my second monitor, in maximum graphical settings, and I have over 200fps.
Here's proof of that claim:
If you decide not to look at the image closer to see my system specifications.. then here:
My specs on this ratty old toaster are:
- Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit.
- An old Compaq (HP) case from like.. Um.. Like 2008 or 2009
- Second Screen- Dell SE198WFP 1440x900 Pixels. (From 2008)
- EVGA Nvidia GeForce GTX 550 Ti 1GB (From 2011)
- 300GB SAMSUNG HardDrive (From 2004)
Yet.. with old outdated components, I can get 200+ fps quite easily, along with tons of different applications open at the same time. I only have 4GB of Ram. And it causes no issues for me at all to run with maximum settings. I believe that if you take care of your system properly, and not have all sorts of junk on it.. then you won't need to assign such a massive amount of Ram, just to get a little bit of fps.
I'm not trying to attack you, or whatever, so I'm sorry if it appears that way. I only wish to clear up the false information you stuck out there. Sorry..
But back on topic, UniblueMedia I really am loving your Texture Pack. It is one of the few packs that I am able to actually build with. Most texture packs change all the textures to unrecognisable things, and makes it feel so.. "alien" I guess you could say.
I love being able to play MineCraft, in a much higher resolution. Most of the time, I am only able to use Texture Packs to take screenshots, and record videos, but not "play" in them, due to how unfamiliar it feels. Yours, and the Faithful pack are the only two packs that I know of that I am able to play in.
Thank you for an awesome pack. =)

Click here, for more info about my current PC. The specs are:
• i7-7700k @5.0GHz
• 48GB DDR4 @2133MHz
• GTX 1080 Ti
• 256GB NVMe SSD
• 5TB in 7200RPM HDDs
I have been "monitoring" this pack for a long time, wanting to use it at some point, but I can't seem to convince myself to use a pack that is so incomplete. I recently downloaded the 128 versions of both regular and smooth. I was disappointed to see that even such basic textures such as pine leaves aren't done, yet oak leaves are.
Opening my inventory and chests, nearly half of the items were not complete for the smooth version. I could understand maybe a few of the newer items needing to be updated, but most of the basic stuff from 1.6 should be incorporated by now.
I can't bring myself to use a pack that doesn't have at least most of the basic textures complete. It's way too irritating to see lower quality textures on some things, and higher quality textures on others.
I would love to use this pack at some point, but please... please... please... Make it a competed pack, not just partially complete.

I am sure you are aware of this bug with seeds planted, if not here ya go!
As you can see, at certain angles you can see green dots/lines above the seeds. IDK if this is an error on my part or what, just thought I would put it out there.
Hey General, you should go back to making incredible textures since we haven't heard from UniBlue is 4 months
If Uniblue doesn't post anything in the coming weeks I can try making some. Right now though I have been given some projects so I don't have much time for textures. If people need my previous patch to see if there is anything useful that can still be used don't be afraid to ask.

Just because he hasn't posted anything in awhile doesn't mean he's not working on the texture pack. Also, if you take a look at his profile, he was active a little less than 24 hours ago, meaning he's likely seen every post since his last one 3 months ago (exactly 3 months ago today)

So please also update DR and not only Smooth Realism
I tried upping the amount of RAM minecraft can use but anytime I put in over 1G it crashes.

Curse PremiumClever boy.
Thanks. I was just getting tired of hearing about how we haven't heard from you in months and asking when you'll update...
