If you further this mod im willing to help you make a banner.
i love the sand, somehow the grass is messed up on the sides, and desert brushes show up with normal coloring.
I wish you finish the texture pack with mobs and everything, you are really on to something.
Really, thanks! i'm loving it so far and i want to show my support, im also good at photoshop so if you need any help let me know.
I guess i could look into the mobs plus i should fix the chest since it doesnt show up in-game like on the terrain.png, and a banner would be nice! Thanks for the support!
I prefer download.com since it's a credible site. Most of its downloads are virus-tested so downloading something off of download.com will rarely get u a virus. And no, im not an idiot. Grow up.
this looks pretty cool so far, itd be good if you could make it into a zip to put in the texturepack folder to save time
Edit: @Pasta_power, i got bored so i made it into a zip you can just put in the texturepacks folder so you dont have to overwrite the terrain file. when you add updates, you can just overwite the files in this zip and upload it somewhere. i like old stlye packs like this and the NES pack, i dont know why but i do

Yeah see.. I dont really know how to make the texture pack selectable in-game without using MC-patcher. The problem is.. The only time i ever used MC patcher is when i installed misa's realism which is 64x. This one is the default resolution. Any ideas? Should i edit the pack.png that is used in the texture pack select menu? Thanks! Retro FTW! Nevermind.. It turns out that you just fixed my problem! Thanks Gravemind2401! I will post the link and credit you ok?
Yo! we now have a ZIP version that is selectable In-Game! Yes thats right! No more .jar updating!
GUI has also been updated to look more simplistic! Things are starting to look very DOS'ish here!
I prefer DOS games like Blood, Duke3D, Doom, Strife and Hexen.
Try aiming for this much detail, I think everyone is sick of simple texture packs.
Currently that is too much work for me to do.. Maybe sometime in the future i will consider making a DOS themed texture pack with that much detail, but for now im keeping it simple. This IS my first texture pack and im kinda lazy. PS: I LOVE DOOM!

thanks this should make it easier to update the pack too, you can just overwrite the zip and check everything works rather than changing the .jar all the time. then you can just upload the zip somewhere as one file instead of doing every single image

All this is is a bucket fill pack and you just said that it is how a dos minecraft would look! You may not realize it, but people around here really don't like bucket fill packs and neither do I. This would take me a matter of seconds to recreate so make a real texture pack with shading and stuff.

Well perhaps once I could make it look nicer... I already made the water and lava highly detailed...
Heres how to add this texture pack to ur game!
Step 1. Download DOSCraft.zip!
Step 2. Open up .minecraft/texturepacks!
Step 3. Move DOSCraft.zip into the texturepacks folder!
Step 4. Run minecraft!
Step 5. Select texture pack in-game
Step 6. ???
Step 7. PROFIT!
Here are the mobs i have currently completed:
Simple mobs: chicken, cow, creeper, enderman, pig, pigzombie, sheep, shear'd sheep, spider, spider eyes, wolf, wolf tamed, wolf angry, squid, zombie, mooshroom, skeleton, silverfish, blaze, magma cube, and slime.
Detailed mobs: ghast, and ghast_fire.
Terrain.PNG has also been updated to look more detailed! not by much yet tho...
WARNING! DO NOT RENAME THE TERRAIN.PNG IN ANY WAY! IT WILL CAUSE YOUR GAME TO CRASH UPON LAUNCHING!
Download the pack Here! thanks to Gravemind2401 for making the link!
WARNING: The zip file is outdated and does NOT have DOSCraft textures for certain mobs!
And heres an awesome sig for people who would like to support this mod! Made by marillMau5!
I hope all of u like my first texture pack! Enjoy!

And if you aren't idiot, you can even find GIMP on it's own download site.

Curse PremiumThis is just another bucketfill simple pack. Also, you need to remove the black part for the side grass Boone coloring overlay.
This has been done TOO many times,
Well perhaps once I could make it look nicer... I already made the water and lava highly detailed...
