Could be better! But you should work on the ores and give them a little more of your style or like what real diamond in stone would look like! I'm looking forward to when you finish the pack!

Thank you very much!
What do you think real diamond in stone would look like? I tried to make it look like one big diamond but it is a little crude at this point.
Sorry, this looks below average. The stone and dirt seem fine... but we need to see all of them in context.
The cobblestone is... just not right. The planks look like they're going to have tiling issues. And the others are pretty lazy. They need more shading/dithering/grain and shadows around them, which requires bigger chunks. I imagine that gold texture would be nigh-invisible in the dark.

I try my best so most of the blocks don't have tiling issues and I haven't found many problems myself. If you have used that pack and have specific problems with a block please let me know.
I'm new to texture pack making so I'm not surprised that things like "shading/dithering/grain and shadows around them" and not up to par and as I learn I hope those aspects will get better.
I see that there are concerns and I plan to overhaul the pack and this post when I release v3 of the pack. You seem to know what you doing so If you have any advice please let me hear it.
If you use MC Patcher, it automatically does this for you and also only does it for gentle slopes and hills.
Means you don't get it on flat vertical cliffs where it doesn't look too good.
I can see in the screenshot of the hills that there's a dirt block under one of the grass blocks and it doesn't look too good where the grass just cuts off like that.
There are issues with dirt being below grass but In my eyes it is worth it. Not everyone uses MC Patcher and I thought this might be a good alternative.
In future updates I think I might make a better side grass texture if this is a problem.
Good job, i'll be following this pack. My two cents: Keep the general colors of the coal and lapis ores, but switch the pattern of the spots. The redstone and iron textures seem a bit... out there, so I would take away the "stripes" on those blocks. Those are just my opinions though.

Well for one thing, make the ores into actual rocky 'chunks', because the current redstone reminds me of bacon strips. Not sure what else to say though.

I want to fix redstone in the next update but I like how iron looks. What do you think about it?

Would you consider the coal to be in chunks? Also I agree with you on redstone, I really want to fix that.

Yes, the coal shapes are mostly fine. In general, try to avoid straight lines going for too long.
Here's how i'd do it:

Wow...you just made my textures a billion times better.
When I made the textures I tried to avoid that type of shading as it almost makes the coal look like a blur in the rock but I think there could be a happy medium between shading and fine line I could try.
-Add some grain/noise to the ores and their shadows and they should be done (basically add more color values to them, make some pixels brighter than the base color and some darker, it works wonders)
-I really like your glass idea, (Though you forgot to change the side glass panel texture (It's left from the bed))
-Try to surround the ore parts completely with shadows, because right now the iron looks abruptly cut-off which made me think it's a tiling error at first
-The planks are ok, but the spaces between them need to have some variation as well
-Not sure if i like the gravel. Could use more contrast maybe?

I'm looking forward to your items
I think I will add grain/noise in V4. I had made so many changes in this version that I thought it would be too much to add for one update. (Also my first attempts didn't look to promising but I think I got it now.)
I didn't even see that side texture thanks. I'l change it soon.
Iron does look funny but it is better than before. Again I plan to make changes in V4.
I like planks but the space in between does need some variation.
I really like gravel. I don't think I'l make too many changes to it.
While I still have things like logs and the crafting bench not textured yet item aren't at the top of my list of things to texture but they are on the list.
Thank you for improving the textures. It really helps me when I go to make changes. Now looking at yours...
1. There awesome!
2. I love the changes to iron and the black on the redstone is beautiful; it really makes it pop. I will definitely work on those textures.
3. I know I need variation on the planks but I think yours are bit dark for my taste.
This may actually be the pack I've been looking for, for months! Ever since clearcraft/Mango pack died out, there's been a gap in smooth packs like this.

i expected an elaborate texture pack with a smooth gradient that all in all blended with the inner workings of minecraft, to give me a whole new experience, but when i used this texturepack, i was let down. the shading are sloppy and its a ppure copy of other texture packs. If i were you, i would just kill yourself right now so i dont have to look at another horrendous texture pack. it was just absolutely attrocious.
JK matt its actully pretty good for the time youve invested in it and i like the ores

Thanks for the feedback, I plan to overhaul the pack for the v3 release.
Thanks
For the first pack I have ever made I like it but I know it need a monstrous amount of work.

Thank you, I'l glad you like it.
One thing though - That's dark red, not black, remember to keep the color in your own version, otherwise it might look odd.
