I think your OP would look a lot better if you went straight into pictures, rather than the terrain.png. As with most texture packs, the terrain.png by itself really doesn't do it justice, and since it's the first thing people are going to see, that isn't so good!
So I think you should either remove the terrain.png in the OP, or replace it with a screenshot.

Theevilpplz is so fabulous, hetrosexual men turn bi when he passes by.
Wow! Thank you everyone for the support and the suggestions. Also, thank you apple for an excellent review. You pointed out a lot of things that will definitely improve the pack when I go back and make adjustments.

I do see what you're saying Thee, on the other side of that though, as a texture artist, I actually look for the terrain.png. I feel it gives me an overall feel of the pack (though is not a replacement for seeing it in-game) so it's basically just something I personally look for when considering if I should download a pack or not. That being said, the OP is going to have a major overhaul for the 1.3 update, so I will consider removing it considering most people looking for texture packs aren't necessarily texture artists.
Soo.. Basically, Dot Sized without optical illusions and less colours?
Yep...lol! I've never considered Dot Sized a "simple pack." Of course it's low res (<3) but it's far from simple IMO. I basically had the itch to do a simple pack (don't we all get that urge lol), so I tried to simplify a few of the Dot Sized textures. I ended up liking the results so much that I decided to make simple alternates of everything. Looking back, I'm not sure Dot Sized Clarity had enough substance to stand alone, and I don't really want to make anything else for it beyond the terrain.png. I do think I got some pretty sweet alternates for it that mesh well with the original pack. My plan is to eventually put this up on a customizer, so people can customize Dot Sized. I feel like I would need at least one more major set of alternates before I'm ready to do that, and my ultimate focus is the completion of the pack. Then i'll work on more alternates. It's funny...all the texture artist that I've shown Clarity to hate it. I think we tend to have a disdain for simple packs because people like to make bucket-fill packs, throw them on the forum, and call it a simple pack, but there are decent simple packs out there and.....shhhhhhhh......this is a secret........I kinda like them! o_0 In all seriousness though, is Clarity as good as Dot Sized.....probably not, but I did get some pretty killer leaves out of the deal! Thanks as always gig for keeping it real <3
phew....loonnnng winded. I wanted to let people know that I am still working on Dot Sized. The progress has been a bit slow because I am running my own server ATM, and it is taking up a considerable amount of time to get it up and running with a steady player base, but I digress. As far as I know, I have completed all the terrain.png textures for the 1.3 update, so expect an update of Dot Sized tomorrow! I'm hoping to have a bit more in there, but I make no promises. Also, if anyone has shrunk down the chicken to 8x, I would really appreciate a template. I'm having a bit of trouble.....cough....gig.....cough. So everyone, keep your eyes peeled for Dot Sized 1.9? <3
Thanks donut! So I think people will be surprised with the Dot Sized update. I made some small and not so small changes to the terrain.png. I am pretty happy with the result, and while I think I there is room for improvement, I am going to move away from the terrain (again) to try to get some other stuff done.
I hope everyone likes the update. I am still trying to get the items done, and they will be in the next update for sure. I got sidetracked changing things on the terrain.png that I wasn't quite satisfied with, but I am quite happy with the result. Unfortunately, the screenshots no longer accurately represent Dot Sized because of the changes, so if any of you want to show Dot Sized a little love. Send me screenshots of your new discoveries and builds from your 1.3 maps, and I'll slap them up on the OP. <3
This pack is adorable, yet awesome at the same time! This is not some overdone edit of the default texture pack - this is different, and that's what makes this pack amazing.

My screenshots are outdated, and I simply don't have the time to take new ones right now. If you love Dot Sized, and you feel inspired please post them here <3

P.S I still haven't forgotten about your trailer
Gig, I do believe that chicken will help me provided it has been reduced by fifty percent from the default?
(apologies for my prior anger, I'm stressed out lately)
Ok, thanks gig. I'll look into it!
Well thanks :), but I'm confused about the prior anger. Did we cross paths earlier?
It's nothing worth worrying about
