First of all, this is not a copy, repost, or edit of the jolicraft texture pack, although it does contain some inspiration from it. the name is in honor of my youtube channel, which can be found here: http://www.youtube.c...ns?feature=mhee
I have been working on this TP over the course of about 7 months now, and I really think it has come out great. I have also made several posts before, but none seem to make a good impression.
how the editing started was when I decided to edit the TNT block in my customized Painterly pack. then, I started editing more and more blocks, until I finally decided to just make it my own. some blocks may even still look like its painterly original and I still am not too sure about some blocks, which will be modified (nether stone), but just see these screenshots and judge the look for yourself.
Very nice. I do have a few things to criticize, though.
For instance:
Stone appears to have a slight tiling issue.
Cobblestone is lighter than other stone products.
Wood planks are too dark between planks. It looks quite bad from a distance.*
Wood planks are too bright on the top of each plank.**
Birch planks are drastically different from the other planks.
Jungle planks are too spotty.
Vines are too busy.
Though, I don't want to be a Negative Nancy, so...
Things I like:
Branches in the leaves.
Dark plank color
Dark wood color, though it does seem to have a bit too 'bright' green.
Cobblestone
Stone Brick
Ores, largely because of the depth.
Keep it up!
---
*This can be kept, but I think it would fit a small bit better with less contrast. This does not apply to Dark planks or Birch planks.

thanks for being so specific, I'll be sure to work on them
but Im keeping the green spots in the dark wood because I like the look, I got it from the pine trees in my back yard
One of the better 16x's I've seen. Keep up the good work. The only thing I have a problem with are the glowstone and stone textures, which don't really fit with the rest of the pack in my opinion. Otherwise, great work.
