Are you tired of your drab old clearly monochrome Minecraft? Ever wish the Minecraft world could be so bright and vivid you could say "wow, this is kinda bright and decently vivid"? Now you can! Escape to a fully altered world of 16ish brilliant colo(u)rs that will wow and amaze even the most blackened of hearts! Can you get into it?!
Information:
This was originally just a personal project to see what I could do with a limited palette. After showing an early version of it to some friends, I was recommended to finish and share it. So here we have it. A somewhat loosely Gameboy Color/NES inspired texture pack.
This is a stylized pack that focuses more on color and pattern over texture and detail.
I'm not one for simple packs but this is pretty nice! I would recommend adding maybe a third colour to the smooth stone and wooden planks though? They look a little flat without it

I don't think I'll change the stone texture. The flat layered look is what I was going for there, but the wood might be something I'll experiment with.
Thanks for the input.
The colors are nice, but honestly those are textures I would probably never use. Take those colors you already have, and try to make some more interesting texturing. The ores are nice, but add some highlights/shadows around the ores to make them feel more embedded. I recommend using at least 3 colors, a highlight, a mid-tone, and a shadow. Just a single color can add a lot to texture. Simple packs don't have to necessarily have limited colors.
I can see this pack doing very well. I like the direction its going, but I dont feel its at its height just yet. Keep working on it, and I recommend joining the TAU (Texture Artists Union : http://www.minecraft...-artists-union/) as they will provide very good feedback and we have some very talented members of the forum including Leostereo, Steelfeathers, and Levaunt. You can learn alot from them. I'd love to see you on the thread sometime, whether you join or not!
Good luck with the pack!
Edit: Oh, and also, welcome to the forums! It'll be a friendly place for the most part
