say, could you help me with a few things. Ive always been really bad with grass and dirt could you help me with it I'm making a 32x texture pack too.if you have the time, also (well i ok at planks but) could you help me with those 3 textures!
Oh yes. Purely yes. This is exactly the 32x pack I've been looking for. I really like it.
I have one thing about the glowstone, though. You've done a great job with how it is now, but it looks so...pale. A bit more contrast would be wonderful, I think.
Other than that, I am downloading and using it right away! I will also try to get you some screenshots in game.
Hope you get far with this, good luck.
Glad you like it! Looking forward to having more screenshots to use.
Yeah I said I might add some color in the orange-yellow range, and some contrast might be necessary as part of that, but I don't want to let the cracks or the shine overpower the texture.
is this with a shader or something? it looks amazing
Good friend of mine actually used photoshop to touch up a few screens for me. If I could make the real scene look a little closer to that it would be awesome, maybe through the skycolors in MCPatcher? Hmmm.
Awesome! When will this be up for download? (Or is it already?)
I'd like to update more than one texture first, I think I might try to make at least a first draft of flowing lava to go in to next version, maybe see if I can't do one of the mobs. If it gets too late, like Wednesday or maybe Tuesday I'll just patch in what I have and update it.
What you can't see in the image is its actually a 64 frame animation, to add a periodic glow and phase shift.
Doesn't currently match the still lava, but I want to re-do the still too anyway.
I know its not exactly molten rock, but I feel like the lava in motion makes more sense this way, maybe have the still animation with stuff bubbling to the surface.
With this pretty much done I want to do at least one more big change before I pack it into an update.
Ok this is what I have so far, Im not satisfied by the wood I did (and no I did not copy your cobble) but I need to know what you think and if you could do the wood :/ bu this is what I have so far Edit: also I'm not to happy with the stone.
No worries about the cobble, doesn't look much at all like mine, nor even the same pattern.
The wood looks like a pretty simple fix.
Lose the white lines, replace them with a shade of brown a few levels darker than the planks themselves.
Also reorder them vertically to get a Constant pattern.
Right now that will tile Thick, Thin x3, Thick Thin. I would probably just shift the top plank down one and get a repetition of two thin planks and a thick one.
The stone you have is not really a style I do often, but stone is one of the hardest things to get right so don't sweat it if its not ideal for now, looks like you got the ores incorporated into that style which is good.
The font base is actually native in minecraft, I added shading, a drop shadow, and made smaller edits to a lot of the letters.
It was the font minecraft used when it needed more resolution to show special characters, but it looked downright awful as is when i tried it as a game font, so I made this version.
Thanks for the tips! I'm just kinda well not that great at this but Ive really worked hard to what Ive had right now. but thanks! I love your pack and it inspired me to start up this pack again

Those are great! Especially the ship one. Ill be less busy tonight and ill spice up the OP with these then.
If you'd like I can peek at what you have so far and tell you what I'd do, but right now om not in the business of contributing to other packs.
Looks like a proper light source now too.
Same photo context as before, plus a close up.
Again you can send me what you have, and I can give you some tips, but I am not making contributions to other packs at this time.

Unless I notice some tiling bugs in testing this is what will be going in the next release.

I like this look
Not so much this look
Oh yeah!
From that water detail post. Glad you like it! Check back often for updates on progress and new versions!
Occasionally?
Blur usually only comes into play when I need to shade edges of items, and its usually only a single pixel spread, darkened to soften the border.
A distortion has only been lightly used here or there of the files in the terrain.png.
And editing without a brush tool would be a bit difficult I would think.
Though I'm not what you mean specifically by asking the question..
I edit the pack using GIMP not Photoshop if it helps, I could be missing the point entirely.

Glad to hear it! Good luck out there!
Heres the first mob added since the release, the skeleton!
Not completely done with him, and he will pick up some edits before the mob folder is done, but hes at least complete and tweaked enough.
If anyone has a change I really should make to it before I release speak up! Release tomorrow afternoon or Monday morning.
