I added a bunch of dead bush variants to give some life (or i suppose ex-life) to the mesa biome. Deserts as well i suppose.
See that metal thing in the bottom corner? I have no idea what it is. It's a very rare variant of the dead bush that i added. So rare in fact that most people will probably never see one.
Also, it does a thing. Specifically, this sort of thing:
I am not entirely sure why it chooses to do that however.
Paintings are the one thing that isn't done yet (well, aside from the 1.7 stuff) They're next on the list once i get the update out, and when i finish them the pack will be 100% textured. Not 100% complete of course, i want to go back and overhaul some of my old textures, but nothing will be vanilla anymore.
Anyway, i have done cobwebs. Most of my mobs actually aren't robots. Spiders are certainly not. In my pack, spiders are harvestmen. Webs are still pretty nonsensical though, considering harvestmen don't produce silk, but perhaps these ones are mutants.
Anyway, here are the ore/storage blocks. Remember how i said i plan to overhaul some of the older textures? These were some of the first ones i did when i started the pack.
From left to right: Gold, iron, coal, lapis, diamond, emerald, quartz.
Emerald and quartz are the only ones that are keepers. Everything else will be redone eventually, since they're awful and terribly outdated. The stone will be redone as well.
Here's the cobweb:
I might redo that as well and in much higher resolution than the rest of the pack and using ctm to give it a thinner look.
And the armors:
I really need to update my post.
Thanks.
Is Lapis supposed to be a TARDIS door?
About the paintings, can't wait to see what horrible masterpieces depicting the apocalyptic ruination of Minecraftia you come up with.
Thanks.

Yep, indeed it is a tardis door.
Anyway, i think most of my paintings will be thematic elements more than anything. Of course, there will be a few actual paintings in the mix.
It took me all day. I am not being productive at all today. Nature went and gave me a flu for my birthday. Nature is a jerk.
It's going to be a dragonblood tree
I'm having some issues with it however. Mainly the fact that the leaves are coming out way darker than the texture itself. I am use it has something to do with new colormaps, i'll mess with those though when my brain starts working. I think i'll redo the bottom branches as well, they're awful but you can at least see the concept.
The leaves are truly that dark. There's a ton of glowstone hidden in that tree. I took the picture at night because the sky overpowers what little detail there is in the dark leaves during the day.
I like the tree a lot, but you're right about the branches. They just don't tile well, otherwise they're great.
Sorry about your flu, get well!
Yeah, i either need to find a way to make the branches flow outward from the center, or just make a sort of lattice pattern of branches all the same size.
I finished my acacia tree. It's a dragonblood tree.
I say finished, not perfected. There are some things that can't be done even with ctm, i've tried quite a few different things, so i guess this is as good as it's going to get. But i think it looks alright, even if the branches are a bit patternish.
This savannah biome... i need to make a ton of biome specific textures. Dead grass everywhere... There must be dead grass! I might even make the dirt that appears in that biome dry and cracked, depending on how often dirt naturally appears. I need to explore it more.
I know i should be updating to 1.7, but i just finally discovered the awesomeness of biome specific textures... mostly because of 1.7 adding all these new biomes.
So today i did the savanna biome.
New grass, tallgrass, side grass, double tall grass... also, new dirt for that biome, so it's not all just grass.
There aren't all too many vairents, but here are both kinds of grass:
8 kinds of regular tall grass, 4 kinds of double. If anyone wants to suggest a rare varient/easter egg for the savanna biome, i'm listening.

Retired StaffI don't think it's a pump, but who knows what it really is.
Actually, that's a good idea, i might add a water pump as some plant varient.

It reminds me a lot of Half-Life. The outdoor bits in the original game. (Mainly the ground)
