Priest - The insane leader and sole member of the local cult. The straight jacket is for his own protection moreso than that of the others. He has a pink tutu, snail print pants, combat boots, and a mint green gas mask with plastic googly eyes stuck to it.
Smith - Very basic clothing for this one, along with a leather apron and a metal gasmask.
Librarian - He's got a sweatervest, a bowtie, and flip-up reading glasses on his gasmask. On this one the nose is a hose type thing with a filter on the end.
Farmer - Strangely well dressed for someone in his profession.
Butcher - I gave him a trench coat because i figured out that i could. I realize he doesn't have the traditional butcher look, but i think it works. He's the kind of guy that you find in a dirty alley way looking to sell you his meat.
Well now, i've been working for 14 hours solid now, and only did 4 of these today. The first one was yesterday. I am amazingly slow. Time for sleeping.

Today i need to make zombie versions of the villagers, which will pretty much just be bloody, ragged versions of the villagers i already made with the hands chopped off like regular zombies.
I'm going to try to finish both the witch and enderdragon today as well.
Witch will be a plague doctor, and the enderdragon will be a perspicuus.
If i have time, i'll get onto spiders. Not entirely sure what i'll do with them though... i was thinking of doing one varient as a harvestman, because i think they're neat, maybe a jumping spider because it fits the model most closely and maybe a few assorted other species i'm familar with. Maybe a nice orb weaver or grass spider.
Making a whole bunch of spider varients won't be too hard, really. All i need to do is make a grayscale base, and fill in the colors, markings, and eye patterns as needed.
I'd like to get this update out on halloween if possible, but i have the feeling that i'll miss it by a day.

A question I have been meaning to ask about the zombies why are their appendages removed?

The models don't support hands all too well, aside from fists which doesn't make sense on zombies, and i wanted to make some sort of variation on that, so i just made them not have any hands.

Yeah that whole fist thing only makes sense when the zombies hold something.
The witch is a plague doctor. Bird mask, duster jacket, all that. I wasn't able to use the nose unfortunately, because the model didn't suit the beak at all. Not to mention the fact that it sort of randomly drifts around off the witch's face ingame... the witch animation is really weird.
I dismembered and messed up regular villagers, and converted them to the zombie model... that's about it. It was harder than it sounds.
I got about half of the ender dragon done as well, that should be done tomorrow. I could definitely use ideas for the spider, iron golem, and wither.

Multiple things. The first is that yes the witch is wierd. Next I was expecting the villagers to like have their masks torn off and be very bloody. Third ideas iron golem could be either an armored villager or a steam bot. The wither could be either another steam bot or a flying blob of flesh with one of the skulls having either a monacle or a magnifying glass (your texture for the nether star I can imagine the wither shooting LASERS). Or tv wither could be another mechanical creature like the precipuss but with said magnifying glass incorporated somehow.

I can't wait to see the enderdragon in-game, screenshots to come?
For the wither, I think it would be fun to see some sort of eldritch abomination supported by balloons. That is to say, the left and right heads of the wither model.
EDIT: Oh! On that note, what about making it into a clown with only his head, spine and ribs?

Nah, i've already done it.
Here's the results of today's work...
Ender dragon:
I converted the perspicuus the best i could to the dragon model. It is a skeletal metal creature that uses firey jets for propulsion. The fire is animated.
Spiders:
I made them harvestmen. I realize they don't have venom, or make webs, but i think they're pretty neat, and with the thin spindly legs, they look extra spider-y ingame, even if they aren't true spiders.
Wither:
I thought it best to make them resemble the materials they're built from. Wither bone and soul sand.
Anyway, i'm hoping to get the mob release out tomorrow.
I'm half way done with the iron golem, which is the last mob to finish. So it's just a matter of finishing that one, fixing a few bugs, and uploading the pack.
The mobs are spectacular--jaw droppingly awesome! I am very excited about installing this and trying it out (I actually had stopped playing minecraft for quite some time and your pack is the one thing that made me feel like trying it out again) Thank you for all the work you've put into this!
Can I be the first to congratulate you, the update is awesome, 13th!
Mobs display a huge amount of imagination, artistic flare and work. So very well done.
Well thanks. I've actually learned a lot more about shading methods in doing mobs than i think i have the entire time i've been making this texture pack. Now i feel like i need to go back and redo everything else XD
And a close second, I love the new mobs. Especially the golem and and the wither, which I think are very creative and cool! I can't wait to see the art especially!
I could really use some suggestions for that. I have a few ideas, but there are just so many...

It's almost not minecraft anymore, isn't it? Your avatar is glorious, by the way.
I am guessing next on the list are new blocks/items for 1.7 and those texture changes you mentioned.
Yep, i was thinking of doing a whole plant overhaul along with it, but now i'm thinking i'll probably just push out the 1.7 textures as fast as possible and then get onto redoing stuff in another update.

Retired StaffI was thinking the priest could be some kind of deranged cult leader wearing one.
Good idea. Are the witches going to be exiled villagers that became plague doctors?
