Started on pigmen. It's going to be a robotic critter of some kind, with a metal base, but tons of organic matter stuck to it. Guts and veins and such. It has a pig's face pulled over the metal head, and an eyeball right in the middle. This is of course only a start.

Here is what I see from that
Pigman says: I SEE ALL
Sort of, but rearranged. Like it was taken apart and badly put back together.
For some reason I keep thinking with that the pig zombie could potentially be a but head LOL
Also because of it being porly put together it could act like an animal but with instincts that make have an affinity to fire (why they hold candles).

The idea i'm going for is that they're some sort of cheap, mass produced creatures made of spare parts. Therefore there will not be any varients of this one. I want them all identical. I feel that it's creepier that way.

That's cool plus if possible can they look as though they may have a hive mind mentality?
There is only a single variant of this one, but that is by design. (and maybe a little bit by laziness) These are some sort of mass produced semi-mechanical organic creatures who went wrong and were disposed of in the nether.
I animated them. The lungs and heart move, and occasionally a tongue comes out of the nose hole and licks the eye to keep it nice and moist. As every pig man knows, a moist eye is a happy eye.
Pigman: Look ma no hands
Either way nice by the way for personal use so I am able to use it with optifine I made a copy of your pack which I am changing the format to 32x. Is tat all right or should I burn it now?
Also, I seriously hope you still go for holographic Cheshire Cats. Regarding that, REALLY make that smile wide and pointy, and make the fur washed out purple and grey.

What i am thinking of doing is making wild ocelots just regular wild cats, but having the domesticated versions all crazy.
Regular cats look a bit better wandering the natural world, but the idea is... it makes you think, did the player somehow modify the cat? Experiment on it? Keep in mind, the protagonist of my pack is a mad scientist.
Maybe one could be a buggy hologram Cheshire type cat. It won't be purple, it will be my own take on it. Maybe another could be an augmented steampunk cat, and perhaps one could be a sir.

As long as it's for your own personal use and you aren't distributing it, you can do anything you want to with it.
If you're just trying to increase performance, make sure to allocate more memory to java, which can be done in the minecraft launcher, and you might consider dumping the content of the anim folder, since there are a ton of animations which might contribute to the lag (unless you can switch those off in the ingame options with optifine, that might work)
A low draw distance with heavy fog works very well with the atmosphere of my pack as well however, which increases performance as well.
But if you need to modify it a bit to get it to work for you, there's nothing wrong with that.

Thanks. Also the reason I use optifine is that I want to be able to use mods as well (since the minecraft format update of 1.6.2 I can't just simpily patch minecraft with FML in it anymore and if I try to patch a jar that has forge installed I get.... unwanted results) and for some reason with optifine I can't just plop on a 64 texture like before it just makes my game do the following freeze, not respond, and of course crash. But the pack works fine when I use mcpatcher but as explained before with the inability to use mods.

You can mix them to a certain extent. Add just a few mcpatcher options over optifine. Some won't clash.
But why can't you use 64x with optifine if you can run it with mcpatcher? Optifine should increase performance, not degrade it.

Retired StaffI could. Actually, i was already thinking of doing something like what these guys have:
That could work if you can make it look both more steam punky and also a bit more dark and horrifying.(which I would say the nether should be)

Retired StaffI've been working on it. Basically, the organs are held in by vertical wires. Like a bird cage.
So like a skinned (completely skinned) animal inside a cage?

The nether is going to be HORRIFYING. Btw, are you still doing livestreams?

As said before I am using a ton of mods. And I am not sure why maybe I just have to be patient with it or something I don't know.
