Part bone, part metal. Basically, skeletons will be robots using a human skeleton as their frame, with gears and chains and such acting as artificial muscles and tendons.

And also, when are you going to stream next? (I'll delete this later)
slimes support anything over 50%. they used to support less, actually. i found that out the hard way when my slimes were 40% and then they changed it. INVISISLIMES!
Well, as it turns out, it isn't possible... there are way too many issues with this idea to have it work. :/ I could chop the legs off a horse and make a steampunk hoverhorse like i did for cows though.
now, the real question here is... should i bother with the pelvic bone and such, or just make it ribs all the way down. A rib monster with a skull on top. A rib caterpillar that stands upright. A riberpillar
At any rate, the ribcages have guns, and this may very well be a reason to panic.
Any feedback here would be appreciated.
In general, i plan to turn these skeletons into mechanical automatons, using a skeleton as their frame. There will be sprockets and chains and that sort of thing acting as tendons... but what should i do for the other stuff? It needs other stuff. No idea what kind of other stuff, but accessories and such. Eyeballs, hearing... things, stuff!

add a heart in one variant, and some blood is aways good. top hats and fancy suits on some would be nice.
I might add a little more detail around the teeth, other than that i'd say they're done.
At least the model shape is done... mostly. I need to add in the scapula and clavicles still, and i was thinking of moving the skull over to the hat layer, cutting out the eyes and nose, and adding a dark cube as the head layer to add some extra depth, and to help give it some shape at the sides.
Of course i need to add color/shading, and a ton of mechanical parts. The skeleton itself is to be the base for a robot of a sort.
A pulley/chain/sprocket driven robot with some sort of central gearbox and some sensory stuff up in the head.
Dat grey thing on the chest...I just have to point out that it looks like a...nevermind.
...I know.
It looks like a sternum, right? Because that's what it is. A sternum. Not anything else. I guess it could look like a geoduck, as well, depending on how you look at it.
I made it gray because i needed to keep it separate from the ribs. It makes shading a lot easier later if i have clear borders. Once it's all bone colored and blended, any resemblance the sternum has to a geoduck should be gone.
I've started on adding the mechanical stuff as well, by adding some gears inside the head.
I rather like hoodoo's pirate skeleton idea, and went with a subtle hint of pirateness. The gears are supposed to look like those hoop earrings pirates are known to wear. They're animated as well. The large one spins smoothly, and the smaller one jumps forward in ticks.
Anyway, i'll be adding tons of other stuff to it. Maybe a few different varients as well. I could use some ideas as to what sort of stuff i should stick on them.

Retired StaffWhen i'm completely done with horses. These things are driving me nuts. No need to broadcast my suffering.
If only mobs supprted transparency...

And here are the armors/saddles/saddlebags:
