yeah, mojang needs to work on individual texturing. when i saw the iron golems had individual textures, i squealed with joy. i INSTANTLY made one with a peg leg
That's excellent. I can make golems out of junk metal and not have them look to refined by having matching limbs.
Sheep: now with 300% more face!I am going really slow on this... no idea why this sheep is being so difficult for me.Anyway, earlier when it was only partly done, the sheep looked just like the spine...Still, i blame the model for how disturbing this looks. it's just not shaped like a sheep.
Awe... I liked the faceless version. Reminded me of a faceless rhino I saw in a dream once. A faceless rhino in the Australian Outback. There were also enormous badgers there.
They do? I never knew that. I thought they just became mushroomless mooshrooms. Is that new? Actually, now that i think of it, i've never encountered a mooshroom in survival.
Anyway I have a pretty good idea for villagers already. Gas masks. Each type will be wearing a different style gas mask. Maybe I'll give them sort of animal inspired gas masks, go for something slighty tribal, but not primative.
Animal inspired as in...
That sort of thing.
Anyway, why not just have the zombie villagers infected with the plague, and unmasked?
Animal-inspired gas masks, you say? I don't suppose you've seen this one before, have you:
Is that like the creepiest thing in the world, or what?
It will be basically like the human type, with a few minor differences. I was thinking of giving it rubber tubing around the bendy bits instead of striped fabric like on the player version, but i might change my mind. Anyway, that's just the base armored shell. I'll be cutting out bits around the legs and neck and adding some heavy rivets there, so it makes a nice transition, and i'll be giving it a neat helmet, and sticking pointless vacuum tubes around.

Alright so I'm the apprentice to a pulp-era style space captain and we live on a space station with a bunch of people on it and lots of shops and stuff. Then aliens attack. The space captain goes to visit his daughter for what may be the last time before going to fight the aliens, but he gets distracted by some math on account of being a member of the Pythagorean cult (an actual math-worshiping cult that existed in antiquity in the real, non-dream world, lead by Pythagoras himself). I dunno what happened to him, because the viewpoint switched back to me and stayed there. Alright so the station is being torn apart by alien bombers, and our pilots are being killed, so I go to the hanger and get in a starfighter, even though I don't know how to fly and my legs have been blown off.
But I do fly the starfighter. I don't recall what happens next. I think I kill some aliens or something. There may or may not have been an awesome space battle. The aliens won, though, but I survived.
Next part I remember, I'm on earth, except I was always on earth, because dreams are inconsistent, so suddenly it was always the earth that was invaded and not a space station at all. And also my legs haven't been blown off. Anyway, the aliens destroyed all of earth except for Wales, Idaho, and Australia. And I think there was another place too. Greece or Germany or something. Something European starting with a G.
Anyway, I'm on earth with the US Army relocating some of the survivors of the invasion to Australia. We're moving through this weird mesh-covered tunnel, so we can see the Outback outside, but the animals can't get in. The topography of the Outback is a bit trippy and non-Euclidean and all the Australian animals are much larger than normal, and apparently rhinos and badgers are Australian animals in this world, although the rhinos are just about normal sized. I think I see an Aborigine hut, but its actually just this big spherical tree that looks bigger from farther away and smaller the closer you get to it instead of the other way around. Kinda weird, but this is a dream so all that stuff is treated as normal and never commented upon.
There's a bit of a scare where one of the rhinos gets through the mesh and I notice that it hasn't got a face. Like no face at all. And rhinos have long faces, so this means the entire front half of its head is missing, replaced with a featureless white mask (kinda like Slenderman, except nothing even remotely like Slenderman). Then I notice that all the other rhinos look like that too. We're all scared because the rhino got through the mess and looks angry (I don't know how it was able to look angry without a face, but then again, I don't know how it was able to look like a rhino without a face either, but it did), but it doesn't attack us and just wanders off or something. The hole in the mesh repairs itself as soon as the rhino leaves. There's a train car up ahead, and we all start to climb in, but its moving too fast (but its only moving on the inside, the outside is still sitting perfectly still there on the track. Wrap your mind around that) so we have to leave some people behind.
Then I'm leading a different group through a different, albeit identical tunnel, also in the Outback. There are fewer refugees in this group, but more soldiers, and also some friendly aliens. One of the soldiers is facing my and talking to me, when suddenly, a giant blue demonic spider appears behind him and kills him. I take out my harpoon gun (wielding the harpoon like a bayonet instead of shooting it) and confusedly try to find a place to stab it, before resignedly saying "that's the problem with monsters, you never know where their vital organs are located". So I use the harpoon to cut off the spider's exoskeleton so I can see where its vital organs are. But it hasn't got any vital organs at all, because inside the exoskeleton its really just a spider-shaped mass of greasy, headless, skinless corpses. So instead of stabbing it, I set it on fire, remembering as I do so that when you set a demon on fire, it doesn't just kill that demon but it also destroys every other one of that kind of demon and retroactively erases the part of Hell that they reign over.
Then the leader of the evil aliens shows up (this is the first and only time I actually see one of the evil aliens), and he looks like a weird cross between the dead Space Jockey from ALIENS and the giant space fetus from the end of 2001: A Space Odyssey and maybe a piranha or something, and he's sitting in this weird floating cybernetic pillbug-shell chair thing. The friendly aliens recognize the evil alien leader as their old mentor (he taught them how to be aliens or something, I dunno. Dreams are weird) and they betray me and kill all the refugees and soldiers and even me and then destroy the earth.

Gotta have those pointless vacuum tubes. They're the pointless cogwheels of the 20th century.
In 100 years, they'll be decorating things with pointless WiFi adapters. And the people will say "wait... how exactly can you have a working graviton flux expositor (or whatever the hell sorts of machines they'll have by then) built using primitive 21st century technology? How would that even work? Is that graphics card even connected to anything?" "Its AppPunk. Just suspend your disbelief and enjoy it."

Yep, and a diving suit helmet that somehow has a mouth hole, defeating the point entirely.

Went with the copper and fabric base textures i made for the human diamond armor instead.
This is the basic design for the metal bits. I'll be putting the shading for the horse's muscles and such on the fabric to make it look tighter. I realize an actual diving suit would be very loose, in fact it would be puffy and inflated with air, but i think in this case it would look better to not have it so flat. I'll be giving the horse some boots as well, and adding some useless vacuum tubes and pipes.
But i need ideas... what should i do about the mane and tail? That's what's really making this difficult for me.
Yeah, i'm going to be leaving the tail out i think.
Anyway, i realized today when i accidentally left the template in after saving that it's possible to include the saddle and reigns in the armor, as long as it completely overlaps what goes on the armorless saddle texture (so it must be as large or larger than what is in the texture on the horse itself)
So i thought i was done with horses, FINALLY but i guess not. I can't pass this up. Each armor type is going to get its own custom saddle texture. I'll do that tomorrow though.
I need to do icons as well... I'll probably just open the armors in novaskin, get a screenshot of the side, and resize it for the icon.

Could, but really shouldn't. And thanks for pointing that out, i've fixed it.

They didn't make it in adult sizes, unfortunately.

Retired StaffI could only texture 3 sides of the cylinder bit, and there would be no way to put in a brim. It wouldn't work.
