The next update will come when i've finished the rest of the mobs (I've done over half so far) redone the hotbar to make it more visible, which is a quick easy job, and fixed the few blocks i didn't realize were broken by the 1.6 update, such as the noteblock, which i already have a texture for and just need to change a file name to fix.
Don't suppose anyone has asked yet but do you plan on adding custom music?
Yep, ill be adding custom everything sooner or later. The pack is still a WIP, sounds and such will come sometime after the next update. I want to redo all of my stone, ores, ore blocks, and most of the wood and trees (oak has already been redone). One thing at a time i guess.
They won't be cows, they'll be autonomous mobile mushroom growing tanks.
They will have glass tanks full of dirt with mycelium on top, and perhaps some fungusy looking roots running through, and of course some kind of custom mushroom overlay. I won't be using the head for this. Just the legs and body.
Anyway, i could use ideas on how to make it a bit more interesting, because right now it's just going to be a glass tank of dirt basically.

Anyway, here are the legs at least.
Here's a kind of subtle idea: match the faucet mushroom with the kind that grows from the mooshroom, so it will look like controls for the tank of shrooms.

maybe different variants could be with the glass broken, and thus the fungi would grow thought the body, and maybe evem form a giant fungus on the place where the head of the texture would be.
or, just for fun, one varient could have an ant farm inside the tank.
This pack is amazing! Is there any possibility getting a link to a 1.5.2 version though, please? Thanks for the hard work!
I don't actually have a 1.5 version anymore, but why would you need it? I'm pretty sure that if you have 1.6 and are using the new launcher, it will make resource packs backward compatible for using older versions.

Aww too bad, but thanks for replying! I was hoping to use it with Voltz and some of the other mod packs that are slow to update.:(

Here's my mooshroom. I still need to do an overlay, but this is really about it.
It's a mushroom growing tank with legs. What you see at the top is the mycelium texture. It's basically a glass tank of dirt. A walking plant pot.
I might move the top of the glass down a bit so the mycelium protrudes/overflows by a few pixels, and perhaps i'll add some bright white roots, other than that this is just about it. What do you think?
I found a great way to get mob screenshots for when you need multiple elements to show that won't in novaskin (such as the wool on the sheep, or the mushroom overlay on a mooshroom)
Looks pretty neat. Is there a tap at the bottom? That delicious sludge has to come from somewhere.
Speaking of which...
Have you done bowls yet? I think it would be interesting if they were old tin cans. Granted, it wouldn't make much sense getting rusted tin cans from wood, but it would be very fitting to the pack nonetheless.

Bowls are done already, they have been for some time.

No he hasn't but something tells me they are going to be trans period bandits of sorts. (bandits from other time periods that got mixed up in the mess)
Not yet, but i'll be getting to those pretty soon. I'm doing horses right now, but once i finish i'll probably get on to skeletons next.
Ok we both replied to that guy's comment at the same time... cool. P.S. always thought the default skin guy's name would be something like professor Lee Harvey.

Retired StaffHalf of them have udders actually, look closely.
I just realized, i don't even bother texturing the actual models half the time anymore.
Also, i made this today:

Retired StaffI think McPatcher can convert 1.6 back to 1.5 format as well, try it out.
