could this be 1.6 ready? the converter messes up custom fonts ;A;
anyway, I was referring to this pic (kinda big)
I'll convert the pack to 1.6 format when it comes out, mojang tends to completely redo texture maps before releasing versions sometimes, so i'd rather just do the textures and formats in updated snapshots before the actual release, so i'd rather wait for the release instead of doing a ton of work on something that might end up being completely unnecessary.
I started on the gold armor today... just a start. I did the helmet, it's rather subtle. A moustache and a monocle.
The rest of the armor will be a tweed suit with subtle gold accents. A pocket watch in the suit pocket, maybe a gold pocket square, or a gold bowtie...
Also, because of this video i've realized that i have forgotten to add the active version of the activator rail, i have the texture, i just never added it for some reason.
Anyway, to answer your question about the bookshelves, yes they use ctm. Random ctm. There are 8 different textures i think that appear randomly, however it's predetermined which block turns into what tile, even though the block selection is random, whenever you break and replace a block in the same exact spot, it will be the same texture. move it over one space and it will be a different one.
And yes, i do have a lot of things i'd like to improve.
Stone, ores, ore blocks, trees, and wood will all be redone for sure once i finish the pack. The only ones up to the standard i hope to get the rest to are oak and emerald.
Also, i highly reccomend trying the pack with mcpatcher so you can experience betterglass.

Thanks for answering the questions I had in the video! I hope it helped and I will try to use mcpatcher in the future but some use it and some don't. I just can't win
I figured i'd make it a fancy suit of some kind. I went with tweed, because i thought it seemed like a rather steampunkish material, and it has neat patterns, and gave him a bowtie, because bowties are cool. Each item has a bit of gold on it so you can tell it's gold armor.
The helmet is a bowler, monocle, and giant moustache (i said i was gonna do it, everyone thought i was nuts, but NOW IT'S BEEN DONE!)
There are some bullet holes and blood on the back of the jacket to perhaps give some insight as to what may have happened to its previous owner...

Retired StaffI have no idea how you connect all my textures to metro2033 XD
If anything it should remind you of dead space... especially the back bit.
Or perhaps an old steam train, which is kind of what it's based off of.
I am a strange person.

Looks neat with the gold hoe.
are you still going with riot gear for the chain armor?
