So far this is the best 64X64 texture pack I have ever seen other than Battered old stuff. The main thing this post is for is that I am currently basically copy pasting the individual png files to a sprite sheet so I can use this pack with minecraft 1.4.7 (mod reasons) I hope you don't mind?

Edit it all you want for your own use, as long as you aren't distributing it in any way it's fine with me.
Thanks bro now the post steam apocalyptic adventures of the lone wolf can continue in another story.
PS idea for diamond armor steam power armor only thing is it might be unusual to texture it but if that's the direction it goes then you can reuse the redstone torch texture for the back pack steam power supply.

I was thinking the diamond armor would be a copper diving suit.
I was thinking the diamond armor would be a copper diving suit.
For now a question. Why a diving suit for diamond armor? (I am going to look at the diamond texture later to see if copper is feasible but either way its your texture pack) PS it would be awesome if there was a texture mod that allowed entity animations (mob textures being animated including armor boats carts and arrows)
Sorry I am using my phone and it doesn't work well with replying.

I want to make the armors follow the same sort of asthetic of tools of the same tier. This isn't always going to be possible (leather isn't a tool type) but when i can, i will.
Diamond tools are copper in my pack, so i wanted to make some sort of copper armor for the diamond. Dive suits are awesome. The old ones... like this:
or
I just really like those.
Iron will be something made of junk and duct tape, and gold will be something fancy, not necessarially made of gold, but maybe a nice suit with gold accents wherever possible, such as a pocket watch, and other such things. As for leather, i was thinking it could be something like an aviator cap with goggles and a duster jacket.

The first pic looks more steam punky I never knew there was such a design if it turns out something like I am down with that! As for iron compared to the tools I can definitely see it being bits and pieces of a diving suit strapped together. Once again this texture pack I personally would say is one of the best and especially the best 64 texture pack for this I don't care how much it lags my game I'm using it.
personally, I think Iron armor should be welded together metal scraps/sheets, not so junky, but still improvised
(honestly, who would wear armor held together by ductape? 0.o)

There is no wood armor. Something about the crotch splinters seems like a bad idea. There's a reason there's no wood armor. Wait... is there wood armor?

Yea, I'm gonna have to agree with you here. Aside from just being ugly, Iron armor is too good to just be a couple cookie sheets tied together and worn like a vest. Maybe you can do that for Chainmail, but Iron should be something that at least makes a bit of sense.
I'm thinking of a regular stereotypical midevil suit of armor, possibly rusted and missing a plate here and there.

Junky like the iron tools are. They're junk, but not flimsy. I'm thinking it will be pretty heavy duty, lots of rivets and screws and random bits of plate. definitely some tape here and there, but not cookie sheets.
I think chainmail was there because Notch planned on adding a recipe for it, but never got around to it. It uses fire as a placeholder because it's an unobtainable block.
Now it has a rare chance to appear on a Zombie or Skeleton when it spawns, and has an even rarer chance to be dropped. It can also rarely be bought from villagers. A lot of people consider Chainmail armor a sort of trophy item because of it's rarity.
I suggest using what I initially thought would be the Iron armor, just random pieces of scrap held together with baling twine and duct tape. Possibly kitchen utensils, like a strainer for a helmet, a couple cookie sheets tied together and worn like a chestplate, some big Tupperware cylinder tubs over the legs, and some cups or something for the boots.

It might be neat if i went with a cross between the wood and stone themes. random items that might just kind of work but do a terrible job. Not really altered to suit the purpose at all...
what are your thoughts for horses and the other things added in this most recent snapshot?
Not sure yet... if there are really as many different horse textures as i think there are (36 or so, 6 patters, 6 colors of each) i plan to make at least a few of them into wild vehicles of some kind. They're ridable, right?

Retired StaffA 'nope' sign for if the proper material isn't present.
The actual texture:

However it might save you some time if you just download this version: http://www.curse.com/texture-packs/minecraft/broken-anachronism-test-pack-6-f
Since terrain.png is finished there.

Retired StaffI want to add a lot more of that sort of thing... blatantly jury rigged things.

Retired StaffI could always use suggestions for chain. I have no idea what to do for it...
Is it even a proper armor though? I mean... it's made of fire. Why is it even there?
