Now THAT'S a good font for a steampunk/surreal pack. i could describe how it 's perfect for the pak, but this would take too long. So, what do you have in mind for the enchanting fonts?
Bolts and screws and little bits of scrap floating around. It seems suiting since the XP orbs are tiny gears and springs and stuff. The idea is that enchanting is nothing so magical in my pack, it's simply improving tools using scrap, and the enchantment table is an analog computer that sort of acts like a microfiche storing blueprints.

This... I like this idea.
This has already passed R3Dcraft as my favorite texture pack, you're just beating it into the ground at this point. Any chance I'll get to know how often you release these test packs? Do you give them out periodically after every week or two, or just when you add something significant like animated tools?
I kid you not, those are the exact words that came out of my mouth when I saw the textures. And when I saw the animated textures? I just... Nothing. I just sat there and stared at it for a couple minutes, watching the gears and gadgets move in a pixel-y form. Incredible. Going to start using it immediately.

I just release them whenever i get a certain amount of stuff done. I'll be releasing another in not too long, once i complete the new textures added in 1.5, then another when i finish items, then one for mobs, etc. until the entire pack is done.

I know, this is by far the best texture pack in the history of forever. It's one of the texture packs that actually change the feel of the gameplay rather than just give it a new look, I personally can't play normal Minecraft with the pack on. I've already made a new world with "post-apocalyptic" as the mindset. I've built a mighty castle to defend against monsters, I've made a small village where I built a sort of lab and "cured" the virus from some of the zombies, and I've traveled across the land searching for any surviving creatures. (So far I've got a few cows, a bunch of wolves and a chicken.)
You know, all normal Minecraft stuff, but it feels like I actually have a purpose for it now. I was just starting to get bored with Minecraft, then this thing came along and re-sparked my interest. (Thanks, 13th, I was just starting to actually get some school done for once.)

There is more to come. Keep watching
I was thinking of making some of the paintings into more gears and pipes and such, something to add atmosphere rather than be actual paintings. they'd be animated. (and of course a few actual paintings wouldn't hurt)
It's funny, i just now remembered that there are paintings. i never use them.

I wish i had your imagination!
But yes, i've saved you from school, and that at least is enough for me to be proud of
My font was a little thin i thought, so i had an idea... I wanted to make it look rusty/corroded, so, how does this look?
IMPORTANT: You can't see it unless you view this at full resolution.
Does this work? i realize there are some bits around the edges that need to be cut, but i want to make sure this is a design i want to use before putting the work in to clean it up.
Does the corroded look work, or should i stick with the cleaner version i had? or should i do something else completely to thicken it? What if i did a single pixel space, with a single pixel extra outline on the left side of each character? (kind of like the / i currently have)

Use the corroed ones. it fits better with the pack itself. The clean one is too.... clean.
ãããã...why is the enchanting book a floating key?
it's supposed to be a sort of reader guide arm thing that gathers information from the passing orbs, but for some reason it doesn't seem to appear right. i think it's placed wrong in the texture.
Roughed up, then cleaned up the font to have jagged edges. It makes it thicker without taking away from the orignal design. It's corroded.
And i redid netherrack. Having a biohazard logo on each one was weird. I plan to add a few back in with random ctm varients, along with hatches, ports, heavily dented ones, labels, etc. But this is the base texture with 5 varients.
Yea, but it still just doesn't work for Minecraft. It's fine when there just a couple of them, but if it's all over the place then it looks weird.
Are you still going for a "medical dump" theme? Maybe you should just make it regular cement with common ctm variants of piles of medical trash like rubber gloves, syringes and the like. Then like I said before, have the Nether Quartz be a computer or IV machine or something buried in the cement.
Nether quartz will be one of the boxes missing a side (well, all the sides for the sake of ore visibility) showing the inside, containing... whatever nether quartz will be. I have no ideas.

nether quartz shoud be some biohazardous medicinal stuff, or something like that. maybe some rests of hospitalar equipment(prefelencially radioative ones, what would explain it uses in redstone comparator and daylight sensors.)the quartz block should be also biohazard boxes, but in far better state. this may be a bit nonsense, but sense doens't matter much in a surreal pack XD

So Nether Quartz will be just an empty frame with the contents inside?

I like this guy, we think on the same wavelength. The only thing I disagree with is that I think that the Quartz Block should retain it's marble-y look, as people often use it for building, like Stone Bricks.
It should be medical supplies for the ore, like computers. maybe the block could be like a new-ish computer with ctm magic to make a screen on one side? (Maybe with some more ctm magic to make random screens.)

Removing the biohazard sign was a step in the right direction, though.

Retired StaffThe borders make them work as tiles, OR as boxes though.

Retired StaffI did 9 varients of my netherrack which will be used in random ctm. various biohazardous type things.
now it shall work better in the nether. for some reason, a bunch of tiles with variant stuff on then works better than just a bunch of plain tiles.
Bein' normal for suckers.
