Well, here's what i did today (and a bit yesterday)
The trapped chests, basically the same as normal, but with the keyhole filled in... Only the observant shall survive. I wanted to keep it subtle.
Records... or in this case, wax cylinders with paper sleeves indicating their content:
The boiler! It's a new block in 1.5... mojang insists on calling it a "redstone block" for some reason. It boils water and makes high pressure steam, great for powering pistons and dispensers and such.
Also, i added some new details to the ender chest:
A keypad, some wires, some handles, some hinges, a new locking mechanism.

Awesome textures. all of them. Think you can use CTM to change the redstone block(ya know, the boiler) upper and under textures? cause it would look kind of weirdo with this same texture on all sides.

I thought of that, and did seperate textures for the top and bottom, i managed to apply them with a bit of ctm magic:
Awesome! I'm loving the texture pack more and more with every texture! And I loved it from the beginning.
Will you also do the remaining tool-related items soon? (Bow and arrows, shears, flint and steel)
I thought the bow could be some kind of a cybernetic crossbow, but that might just be too obvious. ;D
The shears could be a welder perhaps? Or an incisor?
And I don't really know for Flint and steel. I just thought of sparkling (or burning) wire clips.
I'm thinking the flint and steel might just be a lighter, or perhaps a blow torch...
The bow will be a gun. Something like a flintlock pistol, but it holds a single shot and folds in half like a shotgun to be loaded.

As for shears... no idea. maybe just some old rusty scissors.
Perhaps for the shears have a giant straight razor (The kind barbers used in the 1800s and earlier, think Sweeny Todd's razor), or a steampunk version of Freddy Krueger's iconic glove.

Okay, so I was running around in my world looking for chickens, and I came across this little guy:
I went to pick him up, and apparently it's a rose. I don't think it's a random texture for roses, because I've never seen it before. I planted it down, and it turned back into a siamese flamingo. I continued to plant and replant the rose, confirming that it wasn't a random texture. Eventually I put it onto a different block than the original one, and BAM. It was a rose. I put it on the original block, and it's a flamingo. I experimented a bit with the nearby roses and came to the conclusion that any rose placed on that grass block turned into a siamese flamingo. Any idea what this is about?

That would be an easter egg
It is a random ctm varient of the rose texture, but very rarely appears. What you experienced is simply the nature of random ctm. It's not truly random, it's more... pre-determined random. The original placement of the random textures is pretty random, but whatever texture the game picks, that's what it locks onto until you reset it. (i believe switching to another pack then back will reset it)
But really, try it with any other random ctm block, pick it up and put it back, it will be the same every time.

Why am I just now learning about ctm (What I assume to be) tags? I'm assuming that's what you use to make random variants of blocks, but I had no idea you could adjust their rarity.

Now THAT'S a good font for a steampunk/surreal pack. i could describe how it 's perfect for the pak, but this would take too long.So, what do you have in mind for the enchanting fonts?

Sorry, but im not sure most people would be able to recognize that tool... i would have had no idea what it was had you not included a description.
It is, quite literally, a weed whacker. Use it like a golf club to whack at weeds…
Although I have to admit, Sweeny Todd razor wins, hands down.
