did top and side ash, with varients, and i did it while live streaming! i plan to start live streaming more often, today was my first and it made me extremely productive. anyone care to join me in the future?

That looks really atmospheric and works incredibly well with that leaden sky...makes a wonderful combination. Works well with all the random ctm elements you've also included.
It puts me in mind of 'The Road' movie. One of my all-time fave movies, starring Viggo Mortensen.

I've never seen that movie, but i googled it, and im definitely going to watch it when i get a chance.
This sky is just a placeholder however. It's the only color of sky ive found that truly works, but sooner or later, ill be adding better skies support with custom skyboxes with. It will still be pretty gray.

In other news... ice, tripline, and string.
The ice is a repeat texture tiled at 5x5. It's full of deep scratches if you look really carefully... really, really carefully... i think i need to tweak that a little.
Tripline and string... what's there to say? i didn't do anything revolutionary here.

i don't have items, mobs, armors, etc. done. Also, it turns out i had missed a fairly significant chunk of terrain.png, since i was still working on the 1.2 terrain file.
This all looks rather good. Everything seems to be unified in one theme or concept, which I would describe as a slightly creepier/grungier Glimmar pack, which is great. Taking inspiration from, but still making it your own.
I love it.

It would be more accurate to say that my pack and glimmar's pack were inspired by the same concept, but different sides of it.
First item texture... wooden sword. I wanted to do a horse head on a stick, but... it didn't go so well. So i made a tapir instead, and i made it plaid.

Emerald ore. it's green glass. varients to come, but not necessarially just more bottles.
Cake. it's an old moldy tiramisu that was hollowed out by an elderly mouse who now lives inside of it.
Cocoa pods of the hyperveiny jungle tree.
And finally, my end portal frame... ive been told it's geiger-esque, which is pretty much what i was going for.
i do believe im quite close to finishing terrain.png, meaning i am very close to the next test release.

Anvil sides... made of scrap metal.

clay... that looks rather like brains. i need to make it a bit darker i think.
carrots and potatos. once 1.5 is out, ill be doing the first 3 growth stages for the potatos.
control block. levers and pipes and such.
