would there be any chance of you adding support for GLSL Shaders? after the pack is fully released of course
not likely... at least not for awhile. my computer is crap. i need optifine to run my own texture pack as it is. if i get a new computer that's more powerful, then perhaps i will. but i really can't add support for something i can't run on my computer, as testing it would be impossible.
though if ya care to click the donate button and give me $1000 or so, ill definitely add it XD
i seriously need someone to just hire me already :/
yeah, i thought so... definitely going to remove that then. any idea what might look good on there to not just have such a plain looking upholstery background?
i plan to make it a steam powered bed that has no blankets but has a heating system of some kind... as an excuse to add lots of pipes and such. perhaps ill add some vents...
ok how about this then... no more weird leather back support that looks like a feminine hygene product. heat vents instead! this bed will have a steam powered heating system. sure, youll wake up soaked through and covered in third degree burns, but at least you'll be warm!
really though, does this idea work well? or does it at least look decent?
the sides will have levers and switches and steam pipes and... maybe a furnace. maybe.
Why dont you make the sheets ripped(or burned from the heating).
there, a bit ripped. it's not a sheet btw, i was going for more of a couch upholstry type thing. no need for sheets or blankets when your bed is heated, yeah? think couch, not bed. but sleeping couch...
anyway, i just really wanted to included that diamond shaped folded riveted upholstry that you always see on old chairs and stuff in this pack. i figured id to it for one of the wools, but it fit in much better as a bed.
I quite like it without the rip/tear personally. I am not sure what to say about the rest of it though. I generally like it, but I feel like I can't really get a feel for where it is going without seeing the siding done. The crafting table looks great.
Really like this texture pack. I feel like a good texture pack gives me new ideas on what to build, and I instantly want to build a spooky, Euclidean-geometry-breaking house in the woods with this. So huzzah.
But if you'd like to entertain a few suggestions, I do have 'em. Firstly, when I loaded up the Nether, it struck me as a place that looked like a dirty sewer, especially with the way the Nether Brick looks. You could theme it like that, with pigmen as whimsical rat-people, or the Netherrack as broken-up pipework.
Also, in keeping with the pack having a sense of humor (as it were) you could make the Gold/Diamond sword a pen. Why? Because the pen is mighter than the sword, of course. Kind of a groaner when you say it out loud, I know, but I think the visual pun could really work.

for the nether i was going for more of a highly unsanitary hospital theme. the netherrack was meant to be those biohazard boxes they put medical waste in... you know, because they get burned... but having pigmen as ratmen... that does make sense. injured rats do sound surprisingly pig-like when they squeal (i accidentally stepped on a rat's tail once... poor rat) and rats would fit there.
as for a pen sword... no thanks. i already have some specific ideas lined up for weapons and tools. (basically starting out with very simple and archaic things, gradually increasing technologically up to diamond which will be full of gears, springs, wires, and other such fun things)

I gotcha. Then I suppose pigmen as deranged orderlies would be a bit cliche...
twas a sad day for my textures... i put a ton of work into this, and got it *perfect* then tried it out ingame, and unfortunately that's when i discovered that the bed is only 38 pixels tall, thus most of my beautiful texture had to be cut off
so i shortened the legs, cut off the metal piece on top that made it blend together with the top and well... its less perfect than i wanted. maybe ill tweak it a bit and make the legs even shorter...
anyway, both the front and back are currently the same. not sure if ill change it... suggestions of what to do for the front (head) end?
the siding should have parts that line up with the heaters if possible but it looks great!
It's not possible, unfortunately. there's only one side texture, which is copied to both sides. this makes that impossible, because the heat vents on top are offset.
however, if i got the metal rim i made in the actual texture on there, it would look a lot better. i need to tweak it. damn sizing issue
this is the glorious texture i originally came up with:
i had to shorten the legs a lot, move the hanging pipes up higher, and remove the metal banding... and somehow its still too tal even though i measured the scaled up default bed side texture at 38px. i need to tweak this a whole lot.
The FINAL attempt at my bed texture. i think it came out ok. i got rid of the amazing claw footed legs i made for it, and replaced them with something shorter... :/
managed to get the metal banding in the top too.
i had to shorten the pipes, but i made up for it by shading them to look a bit twisty-er.
I like it, it's got that creepy "I wouldn't want to sleep on that raggedy, torn up, disgusting bed thing." Although that might just be me, I have an irrational fear of sleeping in other people's beds. But yeah, it looks like it belongs in some kind of futuristic abandoned sleep away camp or hospital, which is perfect for this pack. I also like the design of the green part of the bed, I hope something like that will be used for the wool blocks, I'm not a big fan of textures that make wool into something other than wool.

Then you will be very, very sad.
My pack features genetically engineered sheep who don't have hair, instead they are covered in fancy masonry, or wrapped up in nice wallpaper.
yep, wallpaper and tiles is what im going for with wool. it will be excellent for building. Each tile/wallpaper type will still be the right color for the kind of wool it is of course. green wool is green wallpaper, red wool is red tiles... that kind of thing. but you aren't the first to mention this, and it wouldn't be much trouble at all to make actual wool textures, so ill make some as alternates.
