What about fading the root a little more on the bottom ? to make the passage between roots and normal dirt more progressive ?
But that could be good enough anyway.
LOVE the ores idea. I like how you have really fleshed out the whole apocalypse idea, and not just made everything grey like... others. You now forever have my loyalty for putting in the TARDIS. However, the only thing I was disappointed to see was the creeper. I don't know, maybe I'm just a sucker for classics, but the creeper is maybe the most iconic part of minecraft. I got upset that he was completely retextured. I love the bomb idea, I think that is hilarious. But what if he could still retain something of a creeper? Just paying homage to him at least, like giving him the classic frown, or giving him a green tint instead of red (maybe the creepers mutated O_o)
overall, I love the work and will be downloading the finished project immediately.
And yes, make the brewing stand a coffee pot. For all that is good and holy make it a coffee pot.

dont worry, ill have a green creeper in before it's released. randommobs, you see. both optifine and mcpatcher support it, and one of them is needed to run my pack since its HD.
here are some changes ive made to existing textures based on feedback from those who tested it...
ive improved grass sides by adding it to the biome sides thingy (and i added roots while i was at it)
i changed the sand completely...
redid the coal a bit to make it more obvious that it used to be a painting, and made it look more embedded...
made the cobblestone more stone-like and textured with a bit more depth, too.
ive redone water completely, so its a better color, looks better flowing, and tiles a bit better (doesn't look so good from fly mode unfortunately, but... its really hard to make a texture that does.)
also, the torches i dont really care for... consider them concept art.
Improvements across the board, it looks like. The cobble improvements really stand out.
Is it just my monitor here at work, or is the sand actually a little greenish?
I'm not sure if I want to touch that water.
yeah, i went slightly greenish sand with some gold flecks in it.
i figured since sand is mainly found near water, it would absorb some of the color... i was actually going for wet sand, really. hence it's darker and more patterned.
Great improvements ! The coal ore seems really really good now. This is going to be one of the best pack And I like it to be more subtle and softer than Glimmar's steampunk pack (which is great though, but can't really be used in survival).
About the water, it's surely the most difficult texture to make IMO and as far as I see, it looks better than the first one, the pattern seems to be less visible, and the color is great.
And... I must admit I was afraid about the torches XD Only concept art alright...

yeah... they look a *bit* more acceptable when you can see the animation. these are animated, 9 frames, each having random electricity arcs. still rather bad.
i plan to redo the background so it has a wider base behind it, so the arcs can be blurred and become softer (i cant do this now, as torches dont support transparency, so they'd just show up as wide solid lines ingame, even if they were soft arcs)
i realize it will look a bit odd, since if the torch texture is larger than the torch model, it simply takes the flat texture, and doubles it, putting the double through itself purpendicular to the other... basically, it aligns them in a + so they meet at the middle and go through each other... like they used to do with grass and other minor textures in older games. or... like minecraft does with small mushrooms, now that i think of it. its not ideal, but... ive seen a texture pack that uses wider, shorter torches which do this, and its not really that bad. worth it for arcing electricity imo.
I don't know. Personnaly I like wool to be just plain, with no particular pattern.
You could make wallpaper as alternate textures. If you have ideas, go on
wool is mainly used for pixel art (which is viewed from a distance) or as solid colored blocks for building as a sort of paint...
i figure wallpaper or tiles would work well, as id be making them low contrast patters, in the color suited to the type of wool, so it would still look fine as pixel art as a distance, and it would work for building too.
I would like to test and also i can not wait until this comes out
Im gonna use it like 24/7!Also i noticed glowstone hasent been done by your pictures so far so i was thinking just smooth it up a bit and maybe add a crack in it somewhere
Or something along those lines

it will have electricity arcing from the top electrode thing to the bottom claw things, which provides the light.
thoughts?
note: it plays faster ingame, thus doesn't look choppy as this does, im just bad at making .gifs
Which light color does it make ?
i was thinking though... should i make wool into tiles and wallpaper?
