Layered rusty sheet metal. It uses a large repeat ctm sheet, with a few randomized tiles to add vents and drains and such, but only on the walls. The flooring is just plain metal.
This is pretty much what i wanted iron blocks to be from the beginning, but didn't have the skill to pull off.
Those rivets... those things took forever. I had to manually place each one, and there must be thousands.
This + A bit or creativity and elbow grease= steampunk spaceship!

Those are some nice looking iron blocks. Definitely fits in well with the pack. And now that I have a new computer, I can experiment around with more memory-intensive packs again without worrying about it breaking the computer! I shall eagerly await the next update.
As for the rivets taking forever, I could definitely see that. My father does a lot digital art, and as a side project he has started making profile views of WWII era planes in Photoshop… from scratch (here's an example, although the actual images are much higher resolution). Each and every single rivet is drawn in by hand, and he is trying to make it as accurate as possible, using dozens of reference pictures to get every rivet, every access panel, every label positioned just right. The amount of time he spends working on each image is insane.

Yep, rivets are just so tedious, but they look so nice...

I've decided what i'll do for lapis - This is exciting, it will be... Lapis lazuli! But not the normal blue lumps you see in every pack. No, The ores will come in the form of carvings, statuettes, and that sort of thing. And here's the important bit: i'll go for a somewhat realistic color. A bit less saturated than what you see in most packs, and with lots of green and gold streaks marbled in, like real lapis has.

Think something's wrong with the download.. I cannot download the entire thing. After I download a little bit of it, it refuses to download any more and it just cancels it. And thus I end up with the "unexpected end of archive" error in winrar.
My internet connection is pretty good so I don't think that's the issue.

Well, the file isn't corrupted. I've just tried it and it downloaded fine. All i can say is try again.

Yeah, for some reason I cannot download it from Curse. I can download other resource packs and mods of similar size from mediafire or dropbox with no issues whatsoever.

Well, i just tried again, and again it downloaded perfectly. I'm going to look into this though and see what i can find that could be the problem.

How do you get the willow tree textures to appear? I tried using both the ctm and the special optifine feature but it won't work. Also tried a bunch of other features that optifine has, but no luck with that either.

You need to use McPatcher. Optfine only has very basic ctm support.
Well, the texture is 4x4 repeat ctm, so 16 tiles. Half of them have a random varient, so 8. 8 variations. 24 total tiles.

Real, average grade lapis looks about like this:
I keep coming back to this pack, I wish I could get it to patch right but that my own problem.

Very exciting.
Nah, that's just an example of what real lapis looks like. It's not such pure, bright blue.
I've been here for a loooooooooong time.
The horset (that thing i built to test horse textures) looks so much better now.
Love this--reminds me of Monty Python's Flying Circus
I remember seeing that on one of your streams and wondering what it did. I agree, it looks quite death-trappy.

Also, can I install optifine and then install ctm over it to use the more advanced features? I like to use optifine when I can.
I believe so, yes. You may need to uncheck "extended HD" to get it working.
