I have some pretty good ideas, and i wanted to write this one down, so this is as good a place as any: I was thinking pigs might be tapirs... green ones. maybe plaid.
Green, plaid Tapirs...
Wow, that's going to be quite interesting.

I was thinking they would either be regular tapirs or even pigs wearing sort of... suits. They would look like stuffed tapirs walking around, but have holes in the fabric revealing the actual creature's hair underneath. Eyeholes too... maybe some are missing a leg of the tapir suit, so there's an actual critter leg sticking out.
can you maybe give us an idea of how it would work?
would it be like a tapier stuffed inside a stuffed tapier?
I don't think a suit would look very good, a bit too cartoony
Notice how the tapir head looks to be off of a stuffed tapir? Well, imagine pigs are tapirs covered in fabric, with seams at the joints, like a sealed suit. Like stuffed tapirs walking around, but without the stuffing, with actual living tapirs inside. the fabric would have holes showing the fur they have to illustrate this fact... if tapirs have fur. i need to look into this.

When you said that - that pigs might be pigs wearing suits of pigs [?] - for some reason I imagined something like this:
Only much less cute.
In any case, this texture pack isn't what I usually take a liking to -- it's a bit too uncanny and creepy for my tastes (and somehow fascinating at the same time) -- but do I have to commend you on your textures! Some of the item icons are (for me) equal parts "urgh" and "wow!" and I'm amazed by the creativity that you've shown in the items; how they aren't just simple retextures of an axe or a hoe, etc. done in your style. I find myself saying, "yeah, I can see how in a post-apocalyptic world you would totally use a golden goblet as a shovel of some sort."
I think you've really transformed how Minecraft looks with this texture pack.

passing by to say, aparently, the new minecraft update will make possible to have diferent textures for charcoal and coal. as the coal texture for this pack is already charcoal, will you crate a new texture for the coal, or copy paste?both are okay to me.

I do put a lot of thought into this XD
The golden tools are some of my favorites because of that. When the world ends, gold loses all value, and what may have once been status symbols and luxury items are now perfectly reasonable choices of things to bash into rocks and trees for a bit in hopes of getting some resources that are actually useful. It's a matter of letting go of pre-apocalyptic ideas of worth.
But if you haven't actually tried the pack ingame, i reccomend you do.
Anyway, yes, i was thinking of something similar to that for the tapir suits. But not so much made as if they are clothing, moreso as if they had a fabric sack sewn over their body, shaped as they are. Like scarecrows kind of... There would be eye holes and such, maybe with randommob support some would have their entire heads or limbs protruding. I could easly add a few varients if i just make 2 layers.

I really have no idea how i might add actual coal into this. I might try to think of something that might work as something to burn.
Keep coal what it is now, and just make charcoal a pile of ashes and a burnt log. Possibly with some squirrel tails or nails or burnt apples or something in it, to keep it from being boring... A pile of ashes with a log in it.
I noticed that the Gold sword/Candlestick texture was facing the incorrect direction. I Reflected it across the Y axis and appears to look better now (except for the candle flame). The same could be done with the umbrella (stone sword).

I was taking into account first person view as the most important factor.
The reason the candlestick and umbrella are in that position is because they are stabbing weapons. They require a forward thrust. Swords and such are in a different position because they are swung to attack. Try it out and you'll see what i mean.
I would love to see the zombies re-skined as defunct mining drones
For the most part robots don't really suit the theme of my pack. I might add a few, but i mostly want surreal creatures that are likely the product of alternate evolution. They had to adapt to things that never should have existed.
And just plain weirdness is always good as well.
What i really need suggestions for is the animal mobs. chickens, cows, horses and such. pigs i have covered, but what about the rest?
Chiken's could be like, some kind of dinosaurish creature. As dinossaurs were actually feathered reptiles, it would make some sense.
As someone who has pet chickens, i can confirm that they're quite dinosaur-like.
Anyway, that reminds me of a dream i once had... i dreamed i went outisde once and the chickens were all quite sick, and the next day they were sicker, so sick in fact that they had been reduced to nothing but spines with heads. Really, bony spines were sort of hopping around with heads on them, they'd fall over, peck the ground a bit, then try to get back up and hop away... It was quite creepy. I might add one as a varient just for fun.

That sounds awesome, please do.
And for cows, how about a type of buffalo or a goat or something?

I think the animals should be... Well, animals.
and the other mobs are more like the "products of alternate evolution" you talked about.

Iron golem perhaps.

A buffalo would be interesting in the pack.
