And I dunno about the Aether or more biomes. I strive to make all of my builds vanilla so anyone can use them. They get much wider distribution that way, cause if a mod suddenly stops updating, then all builds that rely on that mod will suddenly quit working.
I say you should turn The End into Elysium instead. The sky there is as black as space, it shares the same eerie atmosphere, and it's also meant to serve as a final boss arena.
Author of , Minecraft's most noteworthy Mega Man-themed resource pack!
Also the author of Tales from the Creature Keeper, a book series where humanity is long gone, but its successors, both domesticated and feral, could learn a lot from its legacy.
A note for the people wanting to rescue this resource pack from obscurity:
I see a note on the first post detailing 4 versions in progress, but the changes from version to version are much more nuanced than that. I discovered as much myself when I recently made a version of Megacraft Classic for every Minecraft version that's ever existed. Check out my resource pack for inspiration if you want.
But anyway, the significant things I've seen change from version to version are:
Alpha 1.2.2 - Beta 1.2 (the genesis of texture pack support)
Beta 1.3 - Beta 1.7 (ingot block detail reduced, redstone wire tiles moved)
Beta 1.8 (armor meter mirrored, smaller chests & 3D pig snouts added)
Release 1.0 - Release 1.2 (inverted livestock butts)
Release 1.3 (reorganized Creative mode menus)
Release 1.4 (dyable leather armor, taller zombie & zombie pig dimensions)
Release 1.5 (item and terrain files dissected, animation & HD resolution debut)
Release 1.6 (new Resource Pack structure, sound & music debut)
Release 1.7 (sound and music folder structure)
Release 1.8 (enchanting GUI)

So I guess Legends do eventually die, if no one's here to keep their memory. A shame I'm nowhere near an artist, and haven't the time now that I have to work/see doctors most of the time.

Fact.

This is a gorgeous pack... its a real shame no one's updated it. I may have to work on it at some point. I've never done a full resource pack before, but I can try.
I've wanted to revamp this, but I don't have the attention span. e.e I may get around to it now that they added underwater ruins, but I've always thought that I'd get around to it 'soon', and I never do.
Legends never die, I may have gotten too busy to update my own Digicraft texture pack(most of the new vanilla stuff looks good with it anyway) but if i get the time I will probably try to pick this up and revamp it for at least 1.6 since most modpacks are on that. I hope we can eventually get this pack big enough as a community to have it compete with that dang overused(in let's plays) bdcraft I got tired of seeing that pack in every single video for minecraft.
I just wish more texture packs had mod support so we didn't have to see so few texture packs in videos and such. It would be nice to see some variety.

I already have been using biomes o plenty though, other than a few aesthetics, that's the only mod I've got on.
Here's how far I've gotten so far with mapping City Hall -
