Hey, how many Mega Man texture packs are there right now? I've done one called Megacraft Classic, based on the original series, and I think there's a Mega Man X pack floating around somewhere.
Are there enough that a bunch of us could get together and form a coalition or something? We could fashion a hub that provides resource packs for EVERY Mega Man flavor: Original, X, Zero, ZX, Legends, Battle Network, and Star Force.

Check the main page of the forum for the status of the pack. However some wont so I will break it down here, the pack is being worked on but IRL things are causing updates to be very very very slow and until it is fully up to date with 1.6.2 it will not be released. You can however download the 1.4.5 release and help if you wish. Once I get it back up and running this forum will be closed with a link to a new one

http://www.youtube.com/user/DarkDemonWolf76?feature=mhee if you like Let's Plays of random things Right now I have Pokemon Ruby and Hamtaro Ham ham hearbreak as my main Plays which are updated every day but wends which is updated with wario world (cause it's a short game its only updated once a week) all so on wends and sunday is a co/op I got going with another LPer~ with my brand new computer Marley I can start posting regularly for real now so feel free to subscribe and help me out by shearing videos with your friends and stuff <3
This texture pack looks amazing! This right here made me go out and get the full version of the game.
However I apparently have no skill in installing this pack. I downloaded and ran MCPatcher, hit the patch button, opened minecraft and place the texture .zip (tryed multiple verions) and still am unable to get one to appear on the pack list in game.
Is this do to the texture pack not being up to date with the latest ver of minecraft?

Yes, my good sir, that is exactly it. You have to be running the 1.4.5 version of Minecraft in order for this texturepack to work. If you so wish, you could make it compatible with 1.6.2 by yourself, as I would had I any resourcepack savvy, but alas, I struggle with the basic resourcepack stuff. Texturepacks were much simpler.

I think I'd actually advise against that. You're just going to grind yourself into the pavement at the rate you're going. Instead of withholding your work until it's completely done, I would instead release the incomplete pack and update it regularly. That way you'll get people talking about it and loving it, which will help encourage you and usher the pack towards completion.

So i had a daydream today, very vivid, where I contributed to help 'de-make' megaman legends as a minecraft map. I saw so many possibilities, I can't wait to get on this - first things' first though. We have to recreate the megaman legends' Kattelox Island, then we can branch out and make the rest of the world, including the mother lode world. I think we can make something amazing together if you're all interested?

That sounds interesting to me. What scale do you have in mind though? I'm imagining what it would be like to recreate the opening dungeon tower just to get a feel for how the rest of the project will go and thinking it might be a good idea to use the new commands coming in 1.7.

I was hoping to get a server started and make it a community love-affair for MML - I was really hoping there'd be a way to use portals and different levels with server commands to change maps whenever you enter a new area that requires a different resource pack, and then having the whole game programmed in somehow - boss fights and everything. Also, don't know if you guys know this, but I worked on the original blockman dash (: I made the GUI

The ones coming in 1.7, like summon, testforblock, and setblock. You could make some amazing adventure maps and dungeons with those. Summon, for example, gives you much more control over where monsters appear than a dispenser full of spawn eggs, and they'll never run empty either. You could also use teleport commands instead of Nether Portals for efficient transportation to and from levels.
If you get a server up, I may be interested in joining. My building style tends to be more pragmatic than flourishing though. A towering cathedral is great to look at, sure, but if you install an industrial smelter in it, then it'll be useful too! I've been slowly getting up to speed on redstone logic as well. The darn stuff still makes my head hurt a lot, but I get a little more savvy with every YouTube tutorial I follow.
So basically, would you be looking to make a scale model, or more of an adventure map?
Also, don't know if you guys know this, but I worked on the original blockman dash (: I made the GUI
Really? In that case, could you check out Megacraft Classic? That's the resource pack that I've been working on, and I've long thought that it would be cool if a bunch of us artists got together and helped each other make a resource pack for every Mega Man flavor, including Mighty No. 9. More on that here:

Oh wow, very nice - I do want it to be to scale - though if we could use the new commands to make a de-make of Legends, I would love to be part of that!
Also, neat, how long have you been working on Megacraft? Have you anybody already helping out?
For reference, my abilities lay in the photoshop area, I can make GUI, Title Screens, mainly that sort of stuff.

Very familiar, though it usually starts off looking a bit more damaged before I get to visit it.
I think my advice would be to make the city blocks first like you've started here. Once those are done, they'll give you an idea of how big the rest of the island should be. Make sure you've got your compass orientation right too!
I also tend to build things suspended in midair so it's easier for me to copy and paste them elsewhere with MCEdit.
As for Megacraft Classic, that's been a 100% solo project. Usually when I trying to fold other people into my ambitions, they end up being unavailable, uninterested, or unskilled, so I end up on my own anyway.

When this gets converted to a resource pack, I'd like to stress the addition of the biomes o' plenty mod. It will help with further creation of an entire world map of Legends goodness (:
