Give some more shading and detail. Try to give it a pick-axe shape, and not just a trapezoid,
Please don't try to take the lazy path like so many other newcomers trying to make a texture pack, as well. many try to make pointless edits to the default textures, rather than making something of their own.
So, try to make your own texture pack, instead of making minor changes to default.
Edit: Making default edits is not all bad, since it is how I got familiar with texturing, but they probably aren't worthy of being uploaded. Maybe try developing your skill until you can make a new texture pack from scratch, and upload that?
