It looks pretty faithful to the original textures, good job with that!
One thing I notice is the pistons are a bit wierd when pushed out. I'm not sure how you could fix it but a darker edge could work. I really like what you did for coal though. Looking forward to how you do the other ores.
Yeah for the sides. The part that extends looks like its a seperate block right now if you know what I mean.
Yeah I know what you're talking about, but it's hard to change and make the sides look right with the front, because the texture is used for the sides AND the extension . But nonetheless, I'll try and see what I can do~
Can somebody help me with a banner? I'm trying to use this image, (Through imageshack) and make the click-through link to this forum, but the signature control panel says 'only one url is allowed' so I can either do the image, or just the link, but not both. Any workaround?
I already removed the click through url for imageshack but that did not work, it is counting the is a url too.
EDIT: And thanks for the compliment, I'm trying to make it interesting/still fairly vanilla. I'm probably going to go back over and redo some of the earlier ones, due to the fact that I'm getting better at making textures now.
Another update, mainly focused on wood. This one adds:
New pine texture, new birch texture, new jungle wood texture (to be revisited)
New planks for birch, jungle, and pine trees
Detector/powered rails
Edited, better mossy bricks
obsidian
and as always, other stuff I'm forgetting
Edit: Just added sandstone, and smooth sandstone, and bricks in.

Thanks for fixing the moss brick texture! It was really starting to bug me, now just do the cracked stone brick texture (along with everything else). Other than unfinishednessness, good work.
I'm liking it so far, keep going. Sandstone/smooth sandstone look a little out of place to me though, and I noticed you had a texture for a chest already, that texture goes into some kind of wrap in the texture pack folder.. don't remember where to find it, but I'm sure you could find it with a tiny bit of searching.
Minor update:
Added gravel (Likely will retouch later)
changed iron blocks
added gold blocks (will be retouched)
added diamond blocks (will be retouched)
I'm going to start working overtime to finish as many textures as possible, and I'll go back and fix/change/redo any texture that generally does not fit.

I like the new blocks, but gravel has a slight wave to it when tiled, and I feel that the diamond block should be made even more ornate than it is. Just my opinion.
Fairly large update: As of now, I only have the middle right section of the terrain.png to finish up before I can move on to mobs, water, lava, armor, items etc. Almost there!
Changes:
Melons
retouched sand
sandstone
smooth sandstone
netherrack
nether brick
netherbrick fence
netherbrick stairs
soul sand
new ice
CHESTS!
dead bush
note block
record player
colored wool!
A few things: I look wool without the borders, I think you should change the crafting table to stand out from normal planks, aaaaannnnd when using bettergrass with MC patcher, it looks like the grass sides are EXTREMELY green compared to tops. Don't know if that's you, the patcher, or just me.. but check on it.
Those things aside, still a great pack and it's making progress. The sandstone retextures you did really look 1000x better now.

Screenshots: Images don't do it justice, but man it still looks so nice.

edit: My attempt at a fix. Not sure though.
New items included:
Iron doors
snow
ladders
mossy cobble
iron ore
redstone ore
diamond ore
torches
redstone torches
crafting tables
and probably more.

Lol most of the ores are probably placeholders - a lot of things are placeholders.
