I stalked that competition page, and this was by far my favorite to see updates from. I really like the textures you've created with the color palette.
thats what im talking about all your texture packs are really well done ,but the style its not my favourite, for example in feather song the textures are quite dark and opaque, i like bright colors easy to see and that they make you feel like still playing mc(probably youve heard that a lot of times) but its the true. i just never seem to find the perfect text pack for me.. right now my fav ones are default and john smiths(edited by me).. what can i give you to do a pack?

Okay, you need to turn up the brightness of your screen if you think feathersong is dark. Because it's not. At all.
And I'm afraid I don't do packs on request. Sorry.
The grass/dirt feel too hard to me and has this very unnatural feel to it. They have nice definition, and probably have the sharpest looking textures from what I've seem but they feel glued together. The sharpness leaves this hardness in the transition between "layers". Mostly it's due to the 2-3 colors that make up many of the textures but I understand the restraints.
The jungle wood is also... kinda ugly.
Didn't mean to sound negative, but grass/dirt is probably the most frequently viewed texture in the game so it's all I've been seeing the for the past hour.
You definitely hold the title of (as I can't think of anyone else right now) 'the most prolific minecraft texture pack artist in history'. Just one amongst many other achievements - elf slave driver, tamer of dragons, skull cracker, avid tea drinker (oh, sorry that one's mine, not yours!).
I just feel so sorry for those little overworked texture elves. I'm sure there's some sort of charitable agency to which I can report this abuse...except I bet I'd find you running that too!

You forgot Future Ruler of the World. Add that to the list.
Lovely pixels brah! Please do continue, it'd be much appreciated, because as you said so yourself; you don't find that many pure pixel packs out there.

Yup, the grass and dirt are definitely harsh. At least in comparision to other packs. But like I said in the OP, once you get used to it everything else feels...dull.
I'm not quite satisfied with the jungle wood either, but it's the best I could come up with.

this is getting scary...
lol. Glimmar has a working theory that 'Steelfeathers' is not a person at all, but an organization of trained monkey slaves that have been taught to texture. Hence our my high output. :3
I can't wait to try this! I love the palette and bright feeling, not to mention the great detail. Can it be used as is, in 1.2.4 with the new patcher?
edit: Answered my own question, d'oh!
I'll see what I can do with the 1.2.4 texture soon. I don't have much hope for the different shades of planks, though-- I just about tore my hair out trying to get a decent shade for the existing ones.

Retired StaffI'm definitely going to finish the rest of the terrain blocks. We'll have to see about the items, though.

Retired StaffI'd love to get into game design. If only I had a way to get my foot in the door with someone who would actually pay me....

I shall do my best to update in a timely fashion.
