sorry if this is the wrong forum, as it relates to any texture pack i thought it would be most suited to this forum
for users with a Nvidia graphics card (there should be a way to do it with other cards too)
note that will work with any mod and texture pack (helps with vanilla sized textures too)
1. Go to the Nvidia control.
you should see something like this:
if not click on "manage 3d settings" in the side menu.
2. click on the "program settings" tab
3. click the "add" button
4. navigate to "C:\Program Files\Java\jre6\bin" and select "javaw.exe"
- note you may be on java 7, it's exactly the same except the folder "jre7" instead of "jre6"
5. set the settings to what you prefer.
5.1. make sure anti aliasing mode is set to override application
6. enjoy Minecraft with anti aliasing

notice even with the larger image the line between the snow and grass is much more sharp. (sorry for different sizes, Minecraft did something weird)

i am yet to see any major side effects from Anti aliasing.
anisotropic filtering on the other hand will cause lines to appear everywhere.
running with hd texture pack will "smooth" all the textures
