Hello, everyone! This is my first texture pack for Minecraft. It is, however, more of a fix then an overhaul. It uses many textures from the new minecraft, but just brings back the early ones as well.
This texture pack was started in Minecraft Beta 1.8. After offering the upload exclusively to friends, I decided to release it for public use on Planet Minecraft during 1.00. It was then made available via Minecraft Forums during 1.23.
The Michael's Fixes texture pack doesn't aim to be a 'nostalgia-pack' as more of a fix (as the title implies.) There are various fixes made in the pack, mostly fixing Mojang's screw-ups after Beta 1.73. It also aims to go back to Early Beta (as opposed to Early Alpha.)
Various textures, such as Cobblestone, Dispensers, Spawners, Iron/Gold blocks, and more are returned to their original states. However, Michael's Fixes also aims to correct a problem that Nostalgia Packs tend to overlook; no two textures can be the same, and no textures can be completely removed. You no longer need to punch out invisible tall grass, or be unable to tell the differences between the types of wood (a large problem with Nostalgia Packs)
Minor fixes are also made. Endermen have green eyes again, pigs have lost their snouts, pumpkin blur is removed, etc.
FULL LIST OF CHANGES:
Old textures have returned
-Cobblestone
-Moss Stone
-Dispensers
-Iron Blocks
-Gold Blocks
-Monster Spawners
-Bricks
Fixes in enviroment
-Grass is significantly greener.
(The 1.8 update made grass noticably dull)
-Pumpkin blur has been changed from the pumpkin outline to a shaded border
(Makes it easier to see)
Mob Fixes
-Endermen have been given green eyes again.
-The pigs snouts have been removed.
-Pig zombie's helmets have been glued to their head
(This means that their heads no longer float over their bodies)
Thank you, Minecraft forums, for keeping my screenshots. If you want screenshots, check the mirror, I'm too ticked at Minecraft Forums to post any, or take new ones.
Want to help support the pack?
Tried the pack and wanted to support? I'm not going to e-beg like a baby and ask for donations or add stupid adfly links, no no no. If you want to help me out, you can take this offer up:
Despite the fact that I am making a texture pack, I am a terrible artist. If someone would make me a forum signature that advertises the Michael's Fixes pack, I would greatly appreciate it. If you do take the time to read this and decide to make me one, thank you.
*I'm not updating anymore because I'm ****ing sick of the shitty updates they've been putting in. I'm going to stick to playing 1.73, when Minecraft didn't suck. Don't expect this to be updated any time soon.
Just to let you know, the tops of the furnaces and dispensers were smooth stone.
I know, I preferred the regular tops. My texture pack aims more towards early beta as opposed to early alpha. I can send you a download link to get biomeless leaves and grass if you want, actually.

lol. I uploaded this, hoping people would like it, and now I find out that I unintentionally ripped someone off.

Nah, that's fine.
